  1. This thread has made me excited for something I didn't even know I wanted. Definitely downloading this update soon.
  2. So when do I get to make a ship my safehouse? xD
  3. I think in the old days there was actually a few collaborative maps? It'd be nice to see one can't wait.
  4. Well not ALWAYS MisterLock. In the very very old days bites were 100% death. And I THINK scratches were too, if I can recall correctly. But it's been quite a while. This was changed to keep players from going on a crazy rampage and basically giving up on their characters, because there's always the chance your character isn't infected.
  5. I can not wait for the fishing! I assume we'll be able to mod in our own types of fish if we so desired? Like Blue Gills and some of the other fish I hear people talk about catching? :3 It would be great if we could! And I'm assuming we can.. Anyway, the new cooking system is going to be super awesome too.... But fishing is still what's got me the most excited haha.
  6. I got yelled at for yelling "I accept" at my monitor.... xD
  7. Thanks. c: Link will (hopefully) be up soon, i'm having problems getting the recipes to work. Cuz I suck at coding lol
  8. I seem to be having problems with my code, it appears as if my mod is messed up (somewhere) so I will link it but IT MAY BE BROKEN!!!! So please, feel free to poke around and fix it Here is my first ever mod c: This started with Strider saying he wanted Baked Potatoes.... This is the result... Please post any request you have in this topic, I will try my best to get to it. I will gladly take any art anyone wishes me to use for whatever food you want, just PM me! Link: http://pz-mods.net/weapons-items/NugetsCraftingMod/ Planned: Pizza Bread Wheat (Maybe?) Tomato Sauce Jams
  9. Use to you could move the wheelie bins around (the green trash cans with wheels) but they removed that due to some glitches from my understanding. So if you be patient i'm sure it'll be back eventually?
  10. I noticed that as well, use Fraps for the time being? I can't help you much, but if you can find a way please tell me. :3
  11. I prefer waffles, they're crispier and I like that c:
  12. I guess your question is answered? -loves the doom song-
  13. I'm probably going to barricade myself in the school at West Point. There I will eventually set up a group of meager survivors (probably 10-15 at most) I'll set up little look out areas on the roof. At the highest roof is eventually where we will be 'living' (sleeping, cooking, eating, storing things) and we'll farm on a walled in area on the ground. Our rain barrels will be scattered around the place, wherever I feel necessary. If I can't get an NPC to join me he will be food for zombies. C:
  14. I believe Desura gives you a Steam key I think Desura gives you a steam key? I may be wrong? I think there have been suicides by drinking bleach.. And I think it's pretty commonly known that bleach is toxic... XD
  15. What about something similar to what the recipe mod does? The one that lets you see all the recipes? Instead as you discover recipes or read books that contain new recipes you unlock them, and they appear in the book. That keeps the right click menu from being crowded with "Make __" when you don't have the items for it. I tend to use the right click menu a lot so it's something I don't want to be all that crowded
  16. I'm actually curious how they're going to do it... They COULD do it with the current sprite system but it would look iffy.. Maybe if they added an extra 8 directions or so? It would make it look a lot smoother, right? I dunno i'm not a dev so all I can say is.. Good luck... XD
  17. It would take a lot of matches and even then it's iffy.... I've always used a lighter/matches to light news paper which in turn catches kindling on fire then I put small branches on after the kindling is going, and then finally a log. We use a wood stove to stay warm in the winter, and even though it sounds simple it really isn't to get a fire going. If the wood is still green it has a lot of moisture in it, so it ends up being really hard to get going (but it also burns hotter I think) We only ever use dead wood because it's easier to get dead wood on fire. But it can still be a huge pain, you can't have too much air or the fire will go out. Same with if you have too little air... (i'm talking about when the fire is first starting, not when it's going. It's usually pretty easy to keep going)
  18. In my opinion consumers shouldn't HAVE to say that. It should always be "Okay guys, we're going to make a new game. Let's try something new and original that will also catch peoples interest, what do you guys say?" Not "Okay, MW did pretty good, let's try making a second. Okay that one did good, let's make something remarkably similar on the same freakin engine and hope people keep mindlessly buying it." It is stupid and I hate it. When I see someone playing a game I want to be able to tell it apart from other games, not have to actually ask which one in the series it is. I know COD may be a bad example but my point is this: I want original games, something that makes me feel like I've never played anything quiet like it before. Not something where I can say "This game is similar to" and be able to name off games. I guess i'm a pretty picky gamer but uh well, it's what I want. That's the reason I love PZ so much, I have never played anything quiet like it. The only games I can think of that are similar are Cataclysm and Rouge Survivor, both of those are rogue-likes though.
  19. I'm glad the faith of internet articles and commentary videos is enough for you to drop $60 (or any amount for that matter) on a game but that just doesn't cut it for me. I need to have the game or the demo in my hands to be able and tell if I enjoy the gameplay, not someone else telling me if it is or isnt. I know of one game where I was told by everyone it was great at first. I got it, my friend got it, we played through it together. It was pretty fun, but I think people made it out to be more than it actually was. I'm referring to Dead Island by the way. Maybe I was expecting more out of it than I received, but I didn't think it was as good as it should have been. But yea, you can't always trust other peoples' opinions on games because you might find out you're in the minority of people that don't like the game, even though it looks and sounds amazing when you actually get your hands on it it may not be all that great. Actually I think that happens more than it should, people talk about how amazing a game is and it turns out to be utter crap (in my opinion) like MW series, I didn't even like MW 1 let alone 2 or black ops or what the hell ever. They're okay to kill some time, but to actually sit down and play as much as my friends do is stupidly insane. If it wasn't for my brother (in my opinion) wasting his money on the game and letting me try it I might of actually bought it. So yea, that's why I like to have demos. No matter what. What would be even better is if games like COD that are now online orientated would have a sort of online demo. Like where you can only play one map or something and had a certain amount of weapons and stuff or something, I dunno. It would be great though, gives people a real feel of what the game is about instead of the single player thing. I dunno if any games do this (except Crysis, I know it did) but it would be great.
  20. perhaps you can get a trait that's something like "already insane" so cutting off heads doesn't affect you, or something like Psychopath I dunno.
  21. What kinda chains we talking about? The chains that come to my mind in particular are logging chains... (my dad used them a lot to secure his loads when he drove flatbed) we have a few so if I REALLY needed a weapon I would use one of those. Would be pretty bad at actually killing a zombie, but who's to say you can't use the chain to break a jaw or even a neck? Once the spinal cord is cut the brain can't send commands to the nervous system, essential rendering the victim dead more or less.... They're also really freakin heavy... Would be endlessly useful for securing things, like doors, though....
  22. I put 'maybe' because i'm not really sure about it. Part of me thinks it's an okay idea, but the other part thinks it's a not so good idea. However if you enjoy making your own lore you can make a reason (like I did) as to why zombies typically only go through doors and windows.. It's because they retain a very basic amount of memory, so they can remember day to day things... Like walking through doors.. Maybe not opening them, but knowing they're supposed to go through the door and not the wall.. Ya know? That and walls are reinforced with 2x4's and aren't exactly easy to bust through.. Of course this is a realism vs fun factor I think.. And if I belive if they did add this, they would probably make it a sandbox option to turn it on/off
  23. Not sure about kicking, but stomping, yeah, I'd like to see that! Or, Or Or,!! We could use pillows to kill them? Like Kate? You mean COMFORT them? Yes...."comfort" them.... If there was stomping in the game - maybe we could then have different footwear be more effective, (e.g.: Steel-capped workman boots etc)... EreWeGo I hope you understand where the 'comfort' reference comes from? xD It's from when the pillows were first added and we had no idea that we wouldn't actually comfort her... ;A; Anyway. I think this may be a realism vs fun factor.. Of course we could have a bit of both. The human skull is pretty tough, right? So in some cases a stomp may not crush someones skull... It make take multiple stops, depending on how strong you are. For example, someone with a weak trait would have a much harder time (like 5, maybe more, times?) to crush a deadheads skull where as someone with the strong trait would have to only stomp on their head once or twice? Of course with realistic thinking it would vary, depending on your total weight (both of your body and what your carrying) if you know how to adjust your weight properly. Like putting all your weight down on the foot you're stomping with, which could also risk you falling over if you miss... So there's my over thinking it. It would be helpful for sure though c:
  24. Glad to hear that! Yeah, the problem here is : I have no clue how to make a cement wall... Hey, I'm a geek, not a construction worker So I need to make some research on that (or maybe the team have already their idea on it, haven't talked about it with them...) to find a realistic solution to make cement wall... Pretty much what he said ^ Of course for larger constructions (or simply to cut the time for the concrete to harden down) the hoover dam comes to mind. For those of you that don't know, when the hoover dam was constructed (and finished two years ahead of schedule) they estimated it would take over 100 years for the concrete to harden. So, instead, they did something that was fairly unique. They ran pipes through the concrete that carried cold water, which in turn caused the concrete to cool much faster. Of course I have no clue how you would do this in PZ... It would be kind of fun though. :3 And maybe for starters we could just have concrete floors, those aren't too hard to make are they? And it doesn't take nearly as much wood, just simple 2 by 4's would work right? Please correct me if i'm wrong. :3
  25. I didn't bother pirating it, watching some YT-videos(which is something I do even before pirating) I saw that it wasn't my style of game. I didn't think Game Dev Tycoon would be my type either, I tried it anyway. I thought it was terrible, I didn't get far enough in the pirated version for that message to come across.... I realized pretty quickly it was just the same thing over and over with no real variety. I determined it wasn't worth my $8. I would have been pretty pissed if I had wasted my money on it too... of course if I knew there was a demo (I guess I overlooked it) I would have tried the demo...
