  1. I think it's my turn (sort of) but I can't take it up tonight, so if someone wants to pick it up... Else I will get to it tomorrow....

    Stuttering

Nvidea GeForce GT 440 I updated the drivers two days ago, so it should be up to date The CPU is a Intel2 QuadCore 2,4 Ghz And then there's 4 Gb RAM The problem didn't return, however my latest play-through happened in North Muldraugh which is prob. easier on the system than downtown WP.

    Stuttering

Same here. Sort of. My computer is fairly old, and I never got a spectacular amount of FPS with PZ, but it ran at least somewhat smooth all the time consistently between 15-30 FPS. But lately I experienced stuttering and even 1 second freezes. However I did update java and the graphic card drivers and in the latest play-through the game ran as it used to.
  4. I accidentally played it with the Bedford Falls map mod installed now you mention it, and apparently the game was playable after that. I'm not sure how the New Denver mod will affect it though since it's on the same map as WP. I would just give it a go, and if the safe goes bad, we can always retrieve the Rass save. But if you want to be 100% sure you should go with Vanilla Zomboid.
  5. Well... The problem is that my guy is at day 24, started farming (8 cabbage patches) and the area around my base is pretty much clear (and I'm in the city center!). Depending on how this continues, I might just roleplay my guy into going crazy and finally running into a horde shooting his handgun like a maniac. Perhaps we could establish a max time played after which the player has to kill himself, so that we don't use up all the resources and kill all the zombies so fast. (Would it be possible to somehow respawn the zombies? In certain locations, the only danger is gonna be hunger since every non-perishable is gonna be looted and all the zombies are gonna be killed and that's kinda boring) I dislike the idea of a time limit, but you have a point. I think when you did your thing, you should roleplay yourself to your untimely demise.Maybe try to conquer the mall? Another option is that players have to leave West Point after a certain time limit. It would be courteous to not strip mine the place, so to speak. However, the idea is to play the map into the ground so later players have to roam a desolate wasteland. Also keep in mind that a new safe can be made in under 2 minutes. Hell, there's no reason for someone not to load my safe and create an alternative history in which your character never existed. AFAIK zombies do re-spawn after you don't visit a place for while
  6. Nevermind; Wanted to report that the wall of this building is a bit funky, I't I strongly suspect you already know http://pzmap.crash-override.net/?desc=New_Denver_v1L0#0.4352542563469085,0.18441150541366413,79.49684720339079 It appears to rain inside though.
  7. Aaaaand I'm dead. Since I had no time or material to start a diary, a short overview of what went down. It doesn't spoil too much I had an absolutely nightmarish spawn at night in an almost empty house surrounded by zambahz. I panicked, ran around, and after a while I spotted a nice property. I evicted the undead residents with the aid assorted cutlery which is even harder than it used to be. Took me a day, the Duggans lived there or something. I squealed a lot. After that I set up safehouse, and all went well, until I got too bold and decided to rob a goody building and the game unleashed it's full wrath on me. I survived for 3 hours and 7 days 11/10 would squeal and die again I renamed the safe file, with the number referring to the amount of days past in game. Which may be handy later on if this becomes a successful concept. I also added a text file to record the (very basic) history of the save a bit. I think it would be fun if everyone who plays edits it so people get an idea who went before them. https://www.dropbox.com/s/asogvis4hjhmkvq/Legacy012.rar?dl=0
  8. OK, and don't worry, this should be the soundtrack of your typical playthrough of mine in survival.
  9. Shit I just downloaded the thing too. I suggest you go first, it's probably to early to start the multiverse. I'm all for keeping what happens in map world in map world for the time being. As far as I can tell this is going to be a longterm project that will last in-game years, so eventually the map will be riddled with traces of former players. Much of the fun is in the surprise and figuring out what happened to other people, me thinks. Edit a) you'll automatically spawn in the town the OP (Original Player) choose which is Westpoint. Edit b) Fuck the singular universe, We can always throw out my save later, I'm gonna play. Right. Now.
  10. It's a bit late here (01:30), and I downed a couple of beers, so I'll get to it tomorrow.
  11. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zafehouse:_Diaries you should probably take a look at the game Zafehouse Diaries. Its centered around the concept of a selfwriting diary in a zombocalypse
  12. Isnt this already possible by toying a bit with the spawning options in sandbox? btw this is more a question than an answer.
  13. Shall we stop discussing this and start get this ball rolling then? Is someone currently playing the game and is it playable on normal 30? If not I would love to give it a spin.
  14. The multiverse idea could work. It could even be like giving the latest returned save to anyone who wants it when all other saves are taken. That way you keep the concept warm and you keep the supply and demand in balance. Along the way no doubt saves get lost, but that is really part of the concept
  15. That was one of the things I hinted at earlier, but like I said it's a fairly minor aesthetic issue. If I were you I would make one or more spawn-points first so it's a bit more accessible. Even with no zombies and real time it's a bit of a hassle to get to New Denver. It's a shame really, because it's a wonderful map.
  16. So I walked around for a bit, and it's really impressive. Really good stuff. The only thing is that the placement of trees and plants etc, deserves a bit more attention IMO, but it's a rather minor point; otherwise 9/10 will most certainly play this map.
  17. Hrm, New Denver wasn't there, seems I did something wrong. I left my guy running on auto-pilot, so nothing is really lost, but he's now running against a lack border
  18. I'm sorry for your loss. The map is nothing short of impressive assuming you did it all by yourself. And even if if you didn't it is still impressive. In fact it's good enough to download it for the version 30 test drive.
  19. Or can you? The user made map of Bedford Falls contains a recreation of the old map including the 7 story hotel: http://pzmap.crash-override.net/?desc=BedfordFallsL0#0.48201116225746693,0.22643240264271014,36.976851779007276
  20. Under the sea, no one can hear you call Hotline Miami
  21. Avoid combat until you are strong enough, but have a sling with pebbles on you just in case you can't get away from your opponent. They're really easy to craft from 2 medium strings and 1 dirty rag, ammunition is literally lying all over the place and they're rather effective.
  22. Meanwhile, in the real world, lots of people (and other animals for that matter) have eaten rotten meat without ill effects. Also, I did mention the toxins, but apparently you pulled a TL;DR after the first sentence. It's also rather uninformed to assume that toxins need 300-400C heat to be destroyed. For example, the most nasty toxin associated with rotten meat, botuline is deactivated after 5 minutes boiling or so.I don't claim necessarily claim it's a good idea to eat spoiled meat, but the dangers associated with it are usually exaggerated. Humans did evolve some resistance to that kind of thing, not in the last place because we're basically nature's own walking garbage bags.
