  1. Usually in Servers we treat keys almost as we would dogtags. Which got me thinking. How about a player spawn item that is their Kentucky drivers license or ID.
  2. Very important When deleting objects in tile zed Never ever press delete while youre holding the mouse buttons or you will crash TileZed and lose any recent unsaved changes you made. SO SAVE YOUR WORK OFTEN!!!!! I have lost a good 30 minutes of building work because of this error. So Ill say it again save every 5 minutes of work!
  3. Havent done much cell work due to having to spend time with my grandfather who had surgery recently. But I have gotten some shops and buildings done. Some streets are going to look rather cut and paste due to the style of city buildings. Doesnt mean all interiors will be the same. Just dont be surprised to find a near exact building clone on the other side of the map. If I recall bedford falls has some clones in it.

    Building Tips

    I think a thread for players tips on buildings is in order because im sure every mapper has found their methods and perhaps we can share with each other to imporve upon ourselves and for new builders aswell. My tips 1.Dont just Make buildings with the buildeditor tool Make your street items buildings, make parking lot buildings. Make decorated alleyways as buildings and even make some forest decor as buildings. 2. Organize your building files before you place them. If you organize your files after you place them then youre going to break your map and have to replace some stuff. And trust me for the bigger projects youre going to want to categorize your files to make things a bit easier. 3. When highlighting a plot of land in tilezed the Bottom left corner of the screen will have the tile dimensions, use this to get the dimensions you need for buildings to fit in certain areas, like street corners and such. 4.Dont forget to copy your floors before you furnish them!!! 5.Make lots of Building Templates to save you time!!! I hope my fellow builders can share some tips as well because gosh golly I could use some XD

Donald Trump presidency made me feel like 2 years have passed XD The whole game is janky, we have only been convinced that the new animations look so great because we have been deprived of anything above janky. Crowbar was an example Im not going to blow smoke up the devs a%% for a cowby hat sprite. its something that should have been available already.. And as they continue on the update, the playerbase continues to be deprived of Cowboy hats.
  9. Yea I know that. But thats no excuse for not updating a simple sprite for about 5 years. And that should say alot about the development of this game.

  12. make some buildings of your street decorations sometime. make light posts and mailboxes and piles of trash as buildings which you can paste freely. i also used your advice and made huge buildings for just road lines.
  13. My main issue with this game is the sprites havent been updated for years. It does show a bit of lazyness that the Crowbar has been using the baseball bat sprite for years now. Little things like that bother me. Yet they shove in more bs to make the game more time consuming and tedious to play, like the inclusion of multistage building. I have a job and a life, now to build something in game it takes twice as long.... And they add that stuff, but they cant update the crowbar sprite.... Little things like that kill my respect yaknow...
  14. Ive been able to fill a good amount of stuff for the map with the Drayton Buildings and Arma Style buildings. Its was great of you guys to put up your past works for us to use and I thank you. I was able to use a good amount of the Drayton Apartments and Stores for the outskirts of the city.

  17. Wow this is a very ambitious project. When you get into your more urban areas hopefully ill have some new buildings made which you can use too.
  18. Yea I got some of them fixed. Took alot of my time, but just about got a whole low income residential cell just from community stuff.
  19. Just need elaboration on them. I assume they are missing tiles/textures. I have a question tho, how does it affect the game if I place a building which has these question marks?
  20. Yea its best to plan things out. Make it all on paper first. I use a highlighter and ruler to map out the roads
  21. Hey guys been using some community buildings and noticed these question marks around them. Does it mean they used custom textures with them? If thats the case will the game crash if I use any question marked building?

  23. okay so I dont need to go too hard on the sidewalk work due to there being sooooo much pavement only really need it for the roads which go over grassy sections. But I am definitely utilizing your tip
