  1. Also like the idea with different seasons affecting the player and the zombies. And especially for farming! At the moment you can still farm during winter time (it's january for my player now). First winter has to be really tough to survive in my opinion. But on the other hand crops like potatoes for example have to last at least a few months until they get rotten, if you keep them somewhere inside during winter time. Preparations for winter... In the current version your character starts freezing in october if he is not wearing a sweater and it gets colder in the upcoming months. Though like the idea of additional winter clothes as the weather would get more extreme. I want more struggle for survival. I might be alone with this opinion, but starving in this game is not a real issue yet...
  2. Thx - What you see is indeed the "work" of several weeks of besiegement from zombie hordes. As they usually gather somewhere you have to pull them out in small groups and kill em one by one. If you do this like 30 times, always taking the same path, well this is how it looks like. No firearms near my base...
  3. Nice thread and some interesting ideas. Digging stuff seems to be interesting for multiplayer, but on the other hand not needed at all. Just make a crate with backup stuff and hide it somewhere outside the base. Fancy the idea nonetheless if it might find its way into the game. Breeding animals would be really nice. At the moment the game lacks some more endgame content. Farming and animals are just a logical combination for surviving... Commonly suggestions thread says: [m] Animals So maybe. Also like the ideas of sound generation in addition to shout, especially for multiplayer! Though shopping trolleys - well I wouldn't use one as it makes too much noise. Vehicles seem to be announced anyway for the future whether they are cars or bikes or trolleys. Same goes for traps I think. A random helicopter crash within the first few weeks somewhere on the map would be awesome, though it is a not guaranteed event. Army helicopter with ammo, guns and food. Think about epic battles in multiplayer as everyone could approximately hear in which direction it crashed. Well enough imagination for now. I do not like zombies falling through the roof. Wonder how they all got there in the episode anyway. Fences...well if they are already existent somewhere, yes. But not craftable ones. I rather prefer the idea of barricading with wooden walls as it is now.
  4. The story of "Billy Hill" Billy Hill grew up in West Point but moved to Muldraugh a year ago. He started working at McCoys' and bought a house next to the old train station. There are lots of trees circling the house, almost hidden in the forrest. Thus he got lucky and managed to survive the first three months since zombie apocalypse started. Avoiding zombies as possible, armed with a knife and sneaking from house to house he found the tools in order to barricade his home as good as possible. Before winter came he was able to grow some vegetables in his backyard and stockpiling enough food for the upcoming. Winter's gonna be long and cold. And as days become darker the zombies also grew in number. Recently they started ganging up in huge numbers and heading to Billy's place. Possibly the last surviver of Muldraugh. Someone has to stop them... Uncountable numbers of zombies tried to break the walls into Billy's home, driven by madness and the smell of his wounds. Should he run away, finding another shelter? Grabbing as much food he would be capable to carry and hope to make it through winter? He decided to stay and fight. After days and nights of fighting finally the numbers of zombies started to decrease. It seems like the worst was finally over. But there was no one else to celebrate with. And he knew loneliness will drive him mad sooner or later. His family still lives in Westpoint. Are they still alive? He had to find out. It's gonna be a long trip but with the first days of spring he started walking. In the shadow of the forrest, sleeping in his tent and carrying as much supplies as possible he started to head north. To be continued...! I heart PZ
  5. Restarted OSX, checked disk permissions. - Normal mode - Multicore settings are still not saved, game crashes. (mac-related java issue maybe?) - Compatibility mode - at least it runs now. However it is weird, as when I click on play via steam game instantly crashes before showing the startup screen. Second time I hit on play it worked and I can play again. Keep up the good work and thx for all the advices! I'm off to smash some Z's...
  6. I can't find a "done" button but every time I try to change settings I press on "save" - yes.
  7. Unfortunately yes, I am 100% sure now. Re-re-re-downloaded and tested. Keeps on crashing and settings for multicore stay on 'yes'.
  8. I knew I already have tried this before realizing now that the settings for multicore do not stay saved. Every time I turn off multicore and restart the game settings turn back to 'yes'. Deleted and re-downloaded the game already - still the same issue. Oh and the shader option is obsolete as 'Not supported by hardware'. Like I said, game used to run pretty well with the preceding interim build.
  9. This updated, new interim build stopped working. Already tried different graphic options. Crashes even when I try to start a new char in a new world. Playing on Macbook Pro late 2008. OSX 10.8.5 Can't find the log file btw (.app -> show contents -> java folder?), or how is it named? Edit - Thx RoboMat I think I found it. Hope this helps.
