  1. Looks good... but it would be a brief flash of like half a second, so that would just be annoying, (Dark to light I mean)
  2. Definatley the hunting knife. I came across a cache of like 4 and I'm still on the second one (The first one just got repaired until basically tape.) Normal kit is: Scouting: Hunting Knife Crowbar (backup) Pistol (Emergency) Generic Fighting: Nailed baseball bat Pistol (Emergency) Home Defence: Budder Knife Nailed baseball bat Pistol (Getting Hairy) Shotgun (Oh F**K!)
  3. Hey! Dude, I searched "sterilising water" (did I spell that right?) into the search feature along with "dirty water) and found nothing SPECIFICALLY detailing what I have suggested.
  4. I would really like a kind of water system in the game, here, I'll elaborate. Water comes in various states: Filthy Mucky Dirty Clean-ish Clean Boiled Sterilised Various sources have different levels: tap water is always clean, bottled is sterilised, toilet is mucky, along with river water. There would be 2 ways to clean it: Bleach Heat Heat is pretty obvious, pot/kettle, campfire, hob, job done, boiled water. HOWEVER With bleach there is seperate stages: No bleach Heavily diluted bleach Somewhat bleachy Clean-ish Clean Dangerous V.Bleachy Powerful Barley diluted bleach This could add in complexity, for example: Joe is working for Bob, but HATES him. So, he gets a bowl of water and makes it "powerful" (enough to kil). To Bob it says sterilised, BUT, it can kill him. So? Wadaya think?
  5. We'll, I'd really like to see a tripping feature in the game. Basically: sprinting increases your chance of tripping, along with certain terrain (woods, stairs etc) the entire thing could be a 3 second animation, with you falling then getting up. Or not, cos if I was facing a horde and tripped...
  6. YES SAH! (Night for me...)
  7. Yeah, I realise it would be quits a bit of work, though sometimes... Anyway, I did give both a forewarning and apology so I did at least attempt to make up for the rant. Shame they haven't added leathers yet....
  8. WARNING: I have a bit of a rant So, I spawned in, played about and got a rolling pin. Now you've just released world filler, but can't even get the time to give us some better fucking sprites for our weapons? WHY DOES THE CROWBAR, ROLLING PIN, POOL CUE AND BASEBALL BAT ALL LOOK THE SAME? WHY DOES EVERY VARIETY OF KNIFE LOOK THE SAME? I have a hunting knife at home, and it looks COMPLETLEY FUCKING DIFFERENT to my butter knifes and kitchen knives. Sorry for the rant and swearing. Guys are doing a good job, keep it up, loving the world filler!
  9. "Yeeeeeeehaw!" I went all cowboy on their asses after breaking into the gunshop! Then i died ~_~
  10. Pay close attention to his Avatar. Nope not it... think about what a baseball bat is used for in game...
  11. Oh man, just figured out why I got mine, can anybody else?
  12. There's a soft resent implemented! It wipes all corpses and stuff whilst leaving destroyed/build structures. Also restores loot. EDIT: Whoops... Welcome Maxis!
  13. I traditionally wear ear muffs when wearing a hoodie... don't like the hood... (Off topic...) But I'd like to see those in game, make your ears nice n toasty. Those sock warmers anyone?
  14. What i was saying is that having stuff like sleds, shopping carts and the like would make the game so much more enjoyable. One of my pet hates is barricading at the moment, because it takes so long ( and so many moodles!). A simple sled would allow me to travel with heavier objects, for longer distances. It also wouldn't take much coding (depends on how you do it).
  15. I really do agree, I have matches, I have gas, but I can't burn down a friking trailer?!
  16. Wow... Can I just say, with no offence intended, when you post something can you please make it readable?
  17. So, now that talk about moving bodies has been given a "probs" by the devs, I would really like to see an ability to clean up bloodstains. Something like this: Rob kills a zombie by his safe house, drags the body away. He then gets a bucket and bath towel/kitchen towel and cleans the bloodstain off his lovely walls. Maybe you could add some soap as well?
  18. Sounds good, or maybe: Darkness, lights up as a door opens, then slams shut. Bolts and lock ram home. Person runs upstairs, rips up a shirt, then you hear a crash, survivor gets out pistol, go down stairs, blackout, gunshot, screams end.
  19. To mend and to ...reinforce ! The very idea of composite armour is based on a "framework material" onto which various protective patches may be applied. Obsolete ? Actually, a lot of special purpose clothes (such as motorcycle uniforms) utilise this approach, by being supplemented with additional layers / paddings / plates in crucial spots. Not saying that one should be able to produce a suit of plate mail, but why not apply some kevlar / nomex pads scavenged off clothes found in a police / fire station onto a leather jacket for added protection ? This actually leads to another concept - why not allow recycling clothes for materials ? Initially one would be able to make some rags (potentially for cleaning blood) / makeshit bandages (with some way of sterilising them - boiling water, anyone ?), progressing towards more complex stuff and maybe even crafting stuff from scratch. *adds another point to her in-writing megapost* And another! If armour gets added then one could potentially 'add' on bits of material to strengthen armour. Here's an example: I'm wearing some common armour (leather jacket say) which is ripped. I go into a store and find a brand new one, then I take the good material from my old jacket and "pad" my new one, giving it an armour boost.
  20. I was just thinking, similar to another post, how cool it would be to tie up opponents, be it with twine, fishing twine or rope. This way could also be used to determine how long it would take to break out of the ropes too. Another point is that there are no handcuffs, would be interesting to cuff up survivors in MP. For example: Jim is the guard of a safe house. Bob attacks rob who is under safe house protection, Jim hits him with a golf club, then cuffs him and sticks him in a barricaded room for a while. If Bob logs off he is still stuck with the cuffs on when he comes back. Oh, I almost forgot, I would love to have a zombie tied up in my safe house for laughs. (It would probably break loose and eat me but still, at least he gets a meal)
  21. Funny thing is, now that they've talked about poison (or added it, I only cook boring soup in game) it's a real possibility for you to feed em sleeping pills, tie em up with some twine and rob em blind, then run off, actually... I'm off! Time to write another suggestion!
  22. *pulls out a pistol* would you like to confirm dat?
