  1. Or you could just spawn the world with some survival experts and a bunch of "low level npc's", Then have nature do its work, with the late game populated by angry professionals and the exceptionally lucky idiots who has ran through the streets screaming at the first sight of every zed and ranked up to be the best chef mechanic on the map.
  2. Pretty straight forward, Quake or Counterstrike style server info, with map, mod, player count, region, ping etc.
  3. Metal. Welcome to fort chicken smell! Where the flies bite worse then the zeds!
  4. I haven't myself, but I've taken up the habit of traveling with a large horde by just walking through the streets and screaming, and I've fed them about 3 players by just maneuvering around them. I wait for them to get nervous and fire their gun off and get swarmed, then I lead them away for a little bit and loot the body.
  5. I think it would be interesting to have just a bunch of people simulated to be dicks and loners in a simulation with no zombies, there could be an option of full pcs and no zombies even in sandbox. I think it'd still be fun, and it wouldn't take any extra coding. I mean there's still a quarentine around the city, and it's not like there's an economy or anyone to restock the stores. Be in the neighbor hood and see guys on their porch with guns shooting gangs that spawned with no food in their house, go to the cities and see mass looters and turf wars, cars crashing everywhere, ai coming up with crazy gunpowder pacts that dissolve minutes after they're made, people avoiding the rain as if it's acid, after a while there would be just empty streets with the occasional military clean up. It'd be a sickness epidemic simulator in it's own right, and it would be an interesting sandbox game that requires no extra coding, a guy can hope!
  6. Not efficient isn't the same as useless. Everyone in the rural US more more or less has a car, you just aren't going to get anywhere otherwise. I think that you should have enough time to clear a highway that you visit frequently of all it's cars and could have one main road you use for travel, there could be a pushing or towing system if they're just in everyones way and you want to move them around without having to find the parts to get it working again. My favorite part of the original Dawn of the Dead was the idea to use the trucks in the parking lot as baricades so that they couldn't get swarmed while they were getting close enough to lock the front doors. I also want to see the kind of destruction a car can wrack up once building destruction is more polished, I've been in a building while a car crashed into it, they can do some damage. Oh and no one touched on the idea of attacking fences and metal sheets and making a makeshift kill-mobile a la Mad max or the Dawn of D remake
  7. I'm from Wisconsin, so our sobor is an Irish Hangover
  8. What are your thoughts on Joyce?
  9. Try fast zombies on insane, even with the max weakness and senses all the way down I still can't make it for more then 5 hours. those 28 days later survivors are friggin living off of miracles.
  10. Lately I've taken up the habit of traveling with about 200 zombies in tow as I wonder around multiplayer servers, they're kinda my best pals and they are the perfect thing to bring to a gun fight, but they are a bit bitey. I feel kind of like the doctor from Day of the dead, or michone. I've never been bit, but I was thinking it would be cool to have mechanics to involve this strategy into the game proper, notably I would like Sliding fence gates It'd be nice if there was a way to open gates through corners so that you can open or close pens of zombies without them having a way to get to you, it would be good for any style castle defense though really. Ropes and tethers I think this has been suggested for human players, but I haven't seen it suggested for zombies, it would be nice if you could tether them in soft soil and keep them in place as a defence against humans, or even to have a pair of zombie pets like Michone. it would be easier to move them around of course though with Dog catchers poles Those pole things with ropes that dog catchers use, they have been used in both Day of the dead and Walking dead, and I think it would be super cool to be able to actually be able to physically move zombies around, you could even use it as a weapon against people, and finally Army issue Zombie chow made from tainted beef, and not safe for human consumption, it's not Bub's favorite but you can drop it or open it and every zombie in smelling distance will swarm to wherever the can is dropped as if it's a swarmed player.
