erpe
When I try to host the game, it always ends with a general error: "Server has stopped during launch (NormalTermination)". I try to host without mods, but nothing helps. I also tried cleaning the "[...]/Steam/steamapps/common/ProjectZomboid/steamapps/" folder, but with no results. Steam: latest beta version: 1704329464 (Steam Beta Update). Therefore, it is probably not a bug: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/10215 Version: 41.78.16 (Steam) Singleplayer/Multiplayer: Multi Host or dedicated: Host Mods: No Old or new save: New Reproduction steps: Any attempt to host the game. --------------------------- Computer Information: Manufacturer: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Beard
The error seems unrelated to the linked bug report. Do you perhaps have any sort of firewall like FirewallD or any similar security apps? Since it seems like something just blocks the local connection.
erpe
Of course, I have a firewall. Of course I opened the right ports (16261; 16262; UDP). Of course I did the test with the firewall disabled. The result is always the same: at the end, after starting the server, the server stops.
EnigmaGrey
As Beard says, whatever it is, doesn’t seem to be related to the linked thread. Your issue is 1704391705926> 0> [04-01-24 19:08:25.926] > ZNet: Connecting to 0. [04-01-24 19:08:25.926] LOG : Network , 1704391705926> 0> [04-01-24 19:08:25.926] > ZNet: Connection attempt failed because SteamID is invalid I’ve never seen that before. I have no idea why that would be the case. Since you’re playing on the Steam beta, all I can recommend, is reverting to the public build of steam, and seeing if the problem resolves itself. If it does not, then you likely have a configuration issue with your system. If it does resolve itself, then you’ll probably be best reporting the bug to Valve via the linked github.
