Most times I find myself just wandering around the safe house during the rain with nothing to do. They should have the same effect as books/magazines/newspapers. I kinda just assumed I couldn't use my deck of cards because that feature hasn't been added yet, and that it would probably be in the future. Seems pretty logical. And I really like the image of my character sitting up in his bedroom late at night, shot gun on the lap, flashlight on the table, playing solitaire till dawn... with a deck of fifty one...
