TripHopTom
Hey guys, so I had the idea to replace Project Zomboid's zombie sounds with the sounds from Resident Evil 2. I was six years-old when I first played that game, and the noises especially stuck with me 'til the present day (I'm twenty now!). Now PZ's zombie noises (or at least the ones that seem to matter, e.g. death sounds etc), are in .wav. I downloaded the Resi2 sound files which are fortunately in .wav also. I renamed the Resi2 file-names with the ones from PZ, and over-written them. I turn the game on, run around, and the game crashes. Now when I first tried, I heard 3 or 4 sounds before the game crashed. The second time, the game crashed the first time the zombie made a sound. Is there a problem with a specific sound perhaps? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
rorschach
Your parents let you play Resident Evil games when you were six?! Wow, like just... wow.
TripHopTom
No, they didn't. But my older brother would let me watch/play occasionally when my parents were at work, haha. I've been playing 18-rated games since a very young age. I've always been able to distinguish the difference between video games and reality. Fingers crossed, I'm a perfectly normal-functioning citizen. ^^

TripHopTom
I thought that was the case, but the zombie sounds you can replace are in .wav format, so I don't know what to do. Thanks, though.

RoboMat
I thought that was the case, but the zombie sounds you can replace are in .wav format, so I don't know what to do. Thanks, though. Might be a problem with the quality of the .wav files (different bitrates etc.)? Just a guess.I remember replacing the "shocked" sound with the Metal Gear Solid "attention" sound for a little fun mod I made and it worked just fine (It's also quite funny when all zombies have a '?' around their heads)
