"SMALL-TIME" NO MORE: A PZ SCENARIO

Recommended Posts

INTRO:  I like creating scenarios in PZ that give goals for solo players to pursue beyond simple survival.  I’ve posted one before.  Here’s another.

SPOILER ALERT:  This scenario contains one very minor spoiler, below (specifically, the number and general location of banks on the map).

GOAL:  Help “Small-Time” Sal prove he’s not a loser by robbing every bank in the county.

SCENARIO:  Salvatore Ladonnola is a relatively unsuccessful career criminal, known as “Small-Time Sal” to his associates.  While most viewed the Knox Event as an unparalleled catastrophe, he saw a silver lining.  Specifically, it gave him a shot at achieving his one obsession: proving he’s “big time” by robbing every bank in Knox County.

CHARACTER:  The only hard requirements for the survivor character are that he (1) be named Salvatore Ladonnola,* and (2) have the Burglar profession.  Beyond this, design Sal however you picture him.

SCENARIO RULES:  To win the scenario, fully loot every Bank on the map and deposit the proceeds in your Stash.  Details below.

    1.  Designating Your Stash.

        a. At any time, you can designate a building as your Stash.  However, you must first be CERTAIN the building is Secure.  A building is Secure if (1) it contains no living zombies, and (2) it has no broken windows or missing doors.  It *should* also have lots of storage, if possible.

        b. A broken window is OK if it is barricaded with at least 3 planks.  A missing door is OK if: (1) it is replaced with another door; OR (2) the doorway is completely covered/blocked with walls or tall furniture items (such as refrigerators or tall bookcases).

        c. You can designate another Secure building as your Stash at any time.  However, you can only have ONE Stash – so designating a new Stash means you’ll need to move any Loot in your prior Stash to the new one.

    2.  Rob Banks for Loot.  You rob Banks by removing Loot from them.  Loot consists of any MONEY, JEWELRY, or WATCHES found inside the bank (to include items found on bodies in the bank).  Such items found in OTHER locations (i.e., outside Banks) DO NOT count as Loot.

    3.  Deposit Loot at Stash.  To count toward winning, Loot must be placed in a container or bag inside your Stash.  Winning depends on how many bank locations you have "Fully Looted."  A bank location is considered Fully Looted only if ALL loot there has been removed and is currently in the Stash.

BANK LOCATIONS:  At the time of this writing, I am aware of a total of SEVEN (7) Bank locations on the map; one each in Muldraugh, Riverside, Rosewood, West Point, and Valley Station; and two in Louisville.  For purposes of the scenario, these are the only banks that count.

WINNING AND LOSING:

    1.  Losing:  You LOSE the scenario if Sal dies before the requirements for any level of winning are met (see below).

    2.  Total Win.  You achieve a TOTAL WIN if (1) the Stash is Secure, and (2) you Fully Looted all 7 banks.  Once this is done, Sal can die happy -- knowing he proved once and for all that he is not, in fact, a “small-time” nobody.

    3.  Major Win:  You achieve a MAJOR WIN if Sal dies, but (1) the Stash is Secure, and (2) you Fully Looted at least 5 banks.

    4.  Minor Win: You achieve a MINOR WIN if Sal dies, but (1) the Stash is Secure, and (2) you Fully Looted at least 3 banks.

* Or Sally Ladonnola, if you prefer a female character.
