Gas tanks to Extend Generator Fuel Capacity

It would be a nice feature and quite feasible to make a DIY Fuel Tank expansion for generator. 

It wouldn't even need much new coding as it could use same code as Rain water collector and sinks. 

 

Barrel + Hose + Generator + Wrench.

 

It would just drain barrel through gravity straight into the generator tank.  

One less task for player to constantly worry about is always a good QoL feature. 

 

This compensated by the amount of time and trips it would take player to fill up the barrel. 

 

Yes it is realistic Generator External Tanks - are not uncommon though they use a Vacuum Pump instead of Gravity.

Another option would be to scavenge the fuel tank from a vehicle and use that to craft the generator tank.  There are already small, medium and large tanks so it would be a bit more interesting.   The large metal fluid drums would be good as a simple fuel store, but we would need a siphon pump or something to get the fuel back out. 

 

Many farms have a fuel tank on a stand with a gravity feed hose.  These would be good to add to the game as an alternative fuel source that would make raiding farms more attractive and give you reason to return to farms repeatedly thus getting more value out of that area of the map.
