OxManZomboid
I am not certain here is the place to post this, but I wanted to bring up an issue possibly related to optimization, or maybe someone could help out. Basically what I have noticed is there is some lag in this game (random spikes, as well as far zoom being unplay ably laggy (I just turn zoom limit on.) zombies that are transitioning from site become very choppy as well at a distance Thing is, when I experience lag I can see my cpu and gpu usage shoot down to like 30% respectively... so it's odd to me. Other games lag happens and the usage of these components spikes up. hopefully I can get some insight as to why this happens. My CPU is i7 5820k (overclocked to 4.2 ghz) and GPU is GTX 2070 super. Zork
I can tell you that it's not the GPU. Do you have the game on a HDD or SSD? My first guess would be caching / memory shuffling / Java garbage collection stuff. Zombies being "choppy" at a distance is a game feature, simple pathfinding to save CPU. Far zoom during rain or heavy weather can take a toll on FPS on my system too. It's better now with Ryzen, but before that I was playing on Q9550 and things were noticeably laggy. OxManZomboid
i havent noticed how it is actually taking up resources is my problem. both my cpu and gpu after like 4 hours of playing have not seen above 60-70% usage in game. strange readings indeed.
