Majestic
Hello, is there a way or Mod for Zomboid with i can change Ingame the Sandbox settings & zombie population "without starting a New Game"? Because it's very, very annoying to start everytime a whole New Game after i have already built a Base and then notice i set the settings wrong, or the Zombies are to less, or the difficulty is way to easy etc. Best Regards
TitanMoonOfSaturn
No, unfortunately, you have to start a new game.If anyone knows how to do this, please, correct me.
CreepyD
It's odd because every time I continue a game after dying, it shows me the world settings again, but of course any changes don't actually take effect.

I reorganized it here if you want to use an easier to use format instead, or at least to reference which values to change.) I don't think you can change things like time of day, loot rarity, xp bonus, etc. But you should be able to adjust the erosion and zombie settings...I think... Majestic
try these two files: C:>Users>(Username)>Zomboid>Saves>Sandbox>(Character Folder of Your Choice)>erosion and C:>Users>(Username)>Zomboid>Saves>Sandbox>(Character Folder of Your Choice)>zombies If i go on zombies folder as you saidi become this. # Same as the sandbox "Zombie Count" setting.# 4.0 = Insane, 2.0 = High, 1.0 = Normal, 0.35 = Low, 0.0 = None.# Minimum=0.0 Maximum=4.0 Default=1.0PopulationMultiplier=2.0 # Adjusts the desired population at the start of the game.# Minimum=0.0 Maximum=4.0 Default=1.0PopulationStartMultiplier=1.0 # Adjusts the desired population on the peak day.# Minimum=0.0 Maximum=4.0 Default=1.5PopulationPeakMultiplier=1.5 # The day when the population reaches it's peak.# Minimum=1 Maximum=365 Default=28PopulationPeakDay=28 # The number of hours that must pass before zombies may respawn in a cell.# If zero, spawning is disabled.# Minimum=0.0 Maximum=8760.0 Default=72.0RespawnHours=72.0 # The number of hours that a chunk must be unseen before zombies may respawn in it.# Minimum=0.0 Maximum=8760.0 Default=16.0RespawnUnseenHours=16.0 # The fraction of a cell's desired population that may respawn every RespawnHours.# Minimum=0.0 Maximum=1.0 Default=0.1RespawnMultiplier=0.1 # The number of hours that must pass before zombies migrate to empty parts of the same cell.# Minimum=0.0 Maximum=8760.0 Default=12.0RedistributeHours=12.0 # The distance a virtual zombie will try to walk towards the last sound it heard.# Minimum=10 Maximum=1000 Default=100FollowSoundDistance=100 # The size of groups real zombies form when idle. What couldn't you change? If for instance you want to lower the zombie population just change: Population Multiplayer = 2 to Population Multiplayer = 1 vice versa if you want to raise it. Ok but i changed before i start a New Game my Zombie population on 3.0So why is the Zombie Population setting in the Folder 2.0 and not 3.0 etc.? I think that's the default Settings who i can't change for the Game.

I am not entirely sure that you can enter any variable you want for certain settings.
