It would be nice as part of a larger update to clothing. I wouldn't exactly call it 'necesarry' in any way though.

Like Lewis said, i dont see it really necessary, however a riot gear would be neat to have, but we might have to way a very long time to see something like that in the game.

 

Is not confirmed but is a Maybe ​from the devs that we might get clothing with armor properties.
