Fried Worms, Wasps, and Grasshoppers are staples elsewhere and don't taste that bad.

 

Raw bugs on the otherhand have a rather mushy texture and possibly sour/bitter taste.

Well its true that some are better cooked others may lose flavors that make them ok tasting as well as the possibilities to lose nutrition or useful minerals. That as well as the fact that it seems annoying to try to build a fire for cooking a few bugs. I still like the idea and i feel like there need to be other ingredients. Also if they added bees that would be very useful for food. Not just the bees but for honey.

I hear that meal worms are pretty okay tasting and are rather easy to breed.

i feel crickets or ants are better. and idk if they have termites in Kansas. I know those 3 are not that bad (Not from experience but words of many survivors.)

The point still stands that the unhappiness gained isn't appropriate. I'm not going to go crazy because I hate a few bugs.

When (if) new hunger system is implemented unhappiness rating for bugs (and other shady food) should be directly related to your hunger.

 

I won't mind eating a few earthworms when I am starving...
