bvhv
I have been here a while and people mention "necroposting" and I really don't have a clue as to what it is. Just a general explanation will be nice.

Kirrus
We *sometimes* allow necroposting, but it's under specific circumstances. If in doubt, ask.
ApolloDiaspora
It's a generic forum term. Dredging up old posts/discussions to add something new. Usually the people most involved in the discussion have moved on, and thoughts of the conversation have faded from their minds. I'd say, if the topic is on the old side, make sure you've got a chunky, well though out post. Something that adds to the discussion, not just a sentence or two.
