  1. An interesting thing would be if you could play as a character who doesn't speak english, and you have to learn it via talking to survivors and reading language books, which makes it much harder to communicate with survivors. Same goes if you are an English speaking survivor who comes across a Spanish/French/Russian/etc speaking survivor. It's ignorant to think that in a zombie apocolypse, every single person speaks English.
  2. It ultimately depends on the time of year for how long or short the nights are, and how dark they are. Here in Arizona, in the Summer, the sun sets at around 8 PM and comes up at around 5 AM, and the nights are much brighter, with some nights especially during full moons looking like practically broad daylight. In the Winter and Fall, the sun sets at around 6:30 PM and doesn't rise until about 7 AM, and the nights are much darker. I could imagine they are the same way in Kentucky. So it would be nice to see seasonal based day/night cycles with increased brightness in the summer months.
  3. Who would ever expect a cute little Spiffo in a game that simulates starvation and depression? Dunno, I kinda like it - sorta like PIP Boy from Fallout It's VAULT Boy. Not PIP Boy. Pip Boy is the name of your wrist contraption.

    Basements

Houses in areas that are desert tend not to have basements, but practically every house I've seen has an attic. I'm pretty sure houses in Kentucky have basements. Attics would be a nice addition as well though. Zombies flood both floors of the house, and you drop the attic ladder and climb in to escape the horde.
  5. Here's a good morsel of advice: When life gives you razor blades, you make a baseball bat, covered in razor blades.
