  1. I'm a little surprised that tipping seems to be a custom that's really only acceptable in America for the most part (my step father went to Taiwan once, and said that the restaurant owner had followed him to put the tip he left back in his hands at one point). Though, I suppose that just comes from cultural shock, and knowing that tipping is sometimes the only way people make a living over here. I'll have to keep that in mind since it's a habit I have when leaving good service. I can understand that about the American stereotypes as well. It's a little grating (even to a minority of us over here) to see some of them going around on St. Patrick's day with a shirt that says, 'Kiss me, I'm Irish'. So while probably not on the scale you're talking about, I can at least understand that animosity and where it comes from. Thanks so much for the information and telling me what formalities to go with when I have the chance to visit. u v u~ (Also, getting offers for tea? I love tea over coffee, so there's something I definitely won't be turning down any time soon)
  2. I'd like to take a visit to Ireland at some point -- mostly to be able to connect a little more with my heritage on my father's side (plus, I hear that Ireland is a really beautiful country). Are there any places you'd recommend for someone that is looking into visiting for a couple weeks? Also, what do you know about the blarney stone? I'm told that there are some traditions that surround it, though it'd be nice to go ahead and get a little more knowledgeable about the legends and whatnot behind it. :3
  3. A lot of it is just for getting the basic motion of what's going on for now. :'D Hence why her ear also disappears after a moment. Once I get to actually lining it for real and making it less... wobbly? I'll definitely be drawing in the jawline as it should appear. ; v ; Thanks for the feedback as well! I'm not sure how long I'll be working on this project, since it was spur of the moment -- though I will post more WIPs as time goes on.
  4. Decided to add hair to the animation I was working on for better practise purposes. Have to work on the flow a little more, though I'm pretty happy with the progress thus far. Also added more frames to mouth movement since the last time I posted anything. |D;
  5. That's really good, I've been doing animation in college and all of my stuff is crappy little flash things with barely any physics involved, yet here you've got lip movement, head turning and a bit of a bouncing chest there too. Fedora hat to you sir! Thank you! ; v ; I actually wanted to go to school for animation, though a lot of my plans never fell through for it due to having to deal with other things. :'D;; I'm self-taught and reference heavily from other animation and live action stuff. A lot of my inspiration comes from Ravietta and sykosan, not to mention the sheer want and desire to bring my characters to life. :'D But overall, animation has been a very big thing that I've wanted to do -- career-wise -- and I'm pretty happy with what I've been able to accomplish so far. ; v ;
  6. Getting into animation stuff (again). Gonna try and be a bit more serious with it; don't know how long it'll last. :'3;;
  7. My fiance and I are working on a background. This is just a WIP for now for one of the groups that we're helping out with. It's going to be a botanical garden of sorts.
  8. Thank you~ Also, aaaaaa... I'd be up for drawing others' stuff as requests, though at this current time, I'm just so busy with paid commissions and a webcomic that's launching this weekend, that it'd be hard for me to keep up with everything. Though if I ever feel like drawing for others and accepting requests, I'll be sure to let you know. ; 7 ; I do intend on lurking these forums for a while and offering input, after all (I really enjoy playing Project Zomboid, and the community thus far :'D)
  9. ^ Wassup with an elf wearing a biker gloves? Wassup with personal created worlds that don't abide by others' standards?
  10. I made some stupid little Valentine's Cards that feature mine and my fiance's characters. Thought I'd post them here since it's really what I've been working on recently as I've been taking a break from comic planning and writing. :'3
  11. Gotta work out some clothing flaws with this one, but I do like the way it's coming out...
  12. ... ' u ' I was wondering if there was an art thread that I could post to. Also, @Flachzang: it certainly is a good improvement. * u * Here are some things I'm working on: Most of it is for a webcomic that I have launching in another two weeks. There's only one thing in there that's completely unrelated... mostly because it's more Pokémon related...
  13. Hm... those come from the fungus species known as Cordyceps (something I have been begrudgingly educated on thanks to my fiancé's fascination with The Last of Us ideas and gameplay). They not only infect ants, though,they've been known to infect a number of other insects and bugs as well. The one that creates the 'zombie ants', however, is called Ophiocordyceps. Interestingly enough, though, the fungus also has a longstanding medical use history in modern medicine as well. Though, back on track... I've always been on the fence about zombified animals when it comes to my video games and things of the like. My first zombie game was Zombies Ate my Neighbours, and fast forward a few years to the fresher mindset of what defines zombie to me in some cases goes to Resident Evil, where zombified Rottweilers made an appearance. While I believe that it should not be a zombification process that has excessive mutations (like Resident Evil), I do believe that it should not be something that provides a greater hazard than the stragglers that are already there. Again, on the fence; if it's considered, great, if it's not, it's not a big loss. And the time frame you've provided for a mutational strain that can infect other species of one kind or another is great. In the end, Project Zomboid is a survival game, and should be something that should instill the idea of 'survival of the fittest'. And, while that can usually entail physically fit and capable, that shouldn't also negate setting up for future events or prepare for the worst. One of your animal friends turning on you certainly is one of the worst things that could happen. Growing probably wasn't the best choice of word here. Though, bacteria, fungi, and viruses still need moist areas to at least 'live', even without a host. They just need the time to find whatever they can later use as a host and replicate.
  14. Well... why couldn't plants and water be infected, first off? Water can become easily contaminated if left stagnant, or even come from a source that has bad bacteria or viruses growing in it already. I feel that plants would be a different story -- since they do gather up a bunch of their water and nutrients from the soil -- which also could go into getting them diseased. On the other hand, pests and bugs are known for destroying crops and spreading disease to them in the process.
  15. I went ahead and edited the first post to include some of the community suggestions so that anyone coming to this thread for the first time can catch up in one big post if they so choose. o v o I like the idea of dogs giving away your position, and was actually something I considered throwing up there with all the other things I was writing at first. |D It's there now, though. There are also other negatives added to the list to make animals less of a shining beacon, and more of a realistic expectation for the most part.
  16. Hot dang, what kind of mods are you running on your MineCraft? *grabby hands at* Wouldn't mind being able to run mine and my fiancé's server with some of those additives, if possible. * o * Not really too interested in the texture pack, since I cannot find myself breaking away from my John Smith texture pack any time soon, but all those other ones with the glowy additives and decals would be awesome. * u *
  17. A lot of good thinking and reflecting happens in the shower, too. |D Which could also lead to said happiness boost whilst their body is being cleansed of sweat, dirt, blood, and muck. A person with the hypochondriac trait might also benefit from shower boosts. :'D Though, I have to also agree with Brannty that coding in something such as a progressively dirtying character and cleaning them up with a shower would be a little more work (collectively) than adding in the happiness boost (though, I also vote that it alleviates stress as well).
  18. I was actually wondering about that being a possibility, seeing as the base ingredients are there (though, the same can also be said for cake and pie, mmmmm...). Though, yes... yes we should. I thinking about offering up some services to make sprite icons for modders that otherwise don't have the patience or skill for it. Should I?
  19. I'm all for hygiene in the game. I mean, me personally, I hate being all sweaty and gross after working on things outside (and in Texas, it's absurd at times). I say that showers should maybe help relieve stress and minor tiredness in the game, and maybe even help to relieve some pain (good way to forget about muscle tightness). Stressful environment? Showers and baths are usually a really good unwinding method. I mean, the more outlandish request would be to ask to add bubble bath or bath salts to make the bath more relaxing. |D Though, I'm also in agreement with disinfecting wounds and stuff so as to not get infected. Though, this could also be solved with the placement of cleaning alcohol in the pharmacies, or even in bathroom cabinets.
  20. Chilled and drizzled with caramel and chocolate. How's the weather?
  21. Ah, alrighty. I'm glad that I could help then. :'D I didn't know if it was something intentional or not, seeing as three save files in, and all spawned in forests. One was fortunate enough to spawn close to a road that lead into town. I look forward to the update.
  22. So I really like this mod (being fairly prone to choosing the thief/assassin/rogue type characters in other games), though I do have to wonder if spawning out in the forests is normal? Like, I know there's updates on where spawn points are, and I just assume that there would be a spawn that would be somewhere closer to civilisation. I thought I would just bring it up if it's not supposed to be spawning me out in the middle of a forest. It just kind of takes away from the fun when it feels like I'm spending a long time walking through molasses instead of breaking into houses to take what I can to survive. On that note, I should add that I've only been playing in Muldraugh, and haven't seen if this is an issue with West Point.
  23. I'm gonna download and try this mod for my game and see how it goes. :3 As for suggestions prior to actually running it, here are some to consider -- Perhaps changing Lemon Juice to Lemonade -- or make Lemonade a separate item, though only differentiating it by consuming sugar in the process? :3 On that same note, and... well, just throwing it out there for the sake of ideas -- I drink a brand of lemonade called Calypso that has a bunch of different flavours to it. Mostly just mixing other flavours with it like strawberry, watermelon, grape, and whatnot. :'D That may be a nice little additive that helps raise cooking skill and has a happiness boost? Apple Cider would be awesome as well, though I think that that may have to involve a new item -- Cinnamon. Oh! And though they're not juices, I wouldn't mind seeing an option to make Hot Cocoa and Strawberry Milk. :'D Figure I'd throw this out there as well seeing as it still deals with liquids. ; v ;
