  1. Oh im not too sure with the server options etc, I haven't tried MP yet. Try putting the .lua file into your servers lua files and see if that works?
  2. I didn't think it would work on Build 25 as the mods have changed layout slightly from build 23 to 25. I was generally waiting for a stable build of 25 to come out (in case I updated it then it needed re-updated) But I will have a look at updating it for you guys. Would also like to know if this work, And another thing, i manged to get base ball bats to work as a starter item , Could you possibly show me in a reply how to properly space out the names of the items being added to the spawn item list ? Have a little look at the code of the mod. I referenced it so that when a player has X trait they will get X items and made it OmNewGame.Add Im not quite sure what you need, if you explain a bit more i'll try to help
  3. Lots of interestingly devious ideas, now im really liking how this could be expanded for both good food and death. Now we just have to think of genius ways to kill people with soup
  4. Actually it was an Andy's idea after talking about fish pie.. (who said Fish pie are like poison ? Mmh, not me... ) There was a lengthy discussion on the steam forums about it, but it got out of hand when people suggested adding nails etc to the soup. But one good idea was adding sleeping pills to soups, instead of murdering someone you could force them to sleep then steal all their stuff
  5. Absolutely fantastic! Glad to see my bleach in soup idea caught on (and people thought I was crazy for wanting to poison people ) Can't wait to see these in game and what else you come up with, great work!
  6. I've been working on my map a fair bit today, hopefully when the next stable build comes out we can play last stand and custom maps on MP, would be great to relive the Dawn of the Dead with the help sign on the roof etc

  8. I'm sorry I don't have the answer for you, I haven't tried messing around with MP yet. Check in the settings file? There might be something that says 'map' or 'start/spawn area' and maybe you can change it there
  9. As far as I am aware, yes you can play custom maps in MP, as someone has a server running Bedford falls. Altho that may be related to the fact that it replaces Muldraugh spawns and it is joined onto the main map. But it is possible. As for game mode, I have no idea about switching to Last Stand sorry.
  10. It could just be how the game loads and references items, im a noob when it comes to coding but it seems a logical way, loads up the base items then has to have referenced items to other modules, much like modded items.
  11. Im in the same boat, but I also found that for stuff in the camping module you cannot use base reference. Maybe if said item is in the base module then the module reference is irrelevant?

    Added a download link for a first playable test version, if anyone puts it on a MP server or streams let me know so I can check it out. It should be pretty fun to try to take the mall with friends.

    You can use it freely in any map you wish, just save a space for it on your map and i'll get a release version after some more testing. 1978 Dawn of the Dead was my main reason for making this, now we just need zombies on bikes...

    The glass roof was originally level with the normal roof, then I realized you could make a base on the top, like dawn of the dead, and use a sheet rope to get into the mall that way. So I raised the glass roof up specifically for that reason

    Mall Features Download v.1.2 Download contains install instructions, last stand and sandbox versions, a map and some notes, please give them a read. You are free to use this on MP and videos etc just note that this is merely a test build and doesn't look pretty enough yet, it needs a lot more detailing done.

  17. They are under 'industry_02', add them in tile mode, or in iso click something and port the tiles in

Take away the tile covering it so it's hollow, I made some smoke chimneys and those large circle (square in game) stacks you see in nuclear power plants and they look good hollow, altho the square nature does kind of ruin it a bit sadly. If your going to finish this and add some more buildings I could use it on my Raccoon City map as it has a large area for nuclear power
  19. Your welcome. If for some reason it doesn't work, I'm building a map at the moment and I'll test to get it working for last stand so I can help you figure out what's wrong on yours.
  20. Yes of course, you just place it in alongside your map and it works just fine. My folder has; .lotheader, .lotpack, map.info, spawnpoints.lua, thumb.png and it runs fine for me. That however is for survival/sandbox, but before they updated the game (back in build 23) I ran around my map in last stand mode too so it should work just fine.
  21. You do need to create a spawnpoint.lua file (theres a button somewhere to do it). I can't remember where how I created it, but you create that and place that in with the map, providing you are using base professions it should work just fine.
  22. I assume you are trying to play your own map? If so; This happened to me when I was testing a custom profession in the base game, and what I figured it to be was the spawn points. It seemed to load the map and everything dandy, but it just hanged, so I would recommend checking your spawn points. Spawnpoints never seemed to work for me when creating maps, but I just spammed a lot of them and I could run around in sandbox + Last Stand mode with my custom map
  23. I really dislike the idea of having anyone start with a duffelbag or hiking bag as it straight up eliminates the need to go searching for one. However, it was suggested to add a 'utility' belt kind of thing for each character, so they can carry their tools etc. If you can think of anything else a fireman would reasonable start with that would be good. I think I may update this mod when build 25 comes out, and add the utility belt, custom baton for security guard + police and anything else that would seem to fit in with the professions.
  24. I like the idea of a workbench, you know it contains your tools and you can just do all your work at it, manual sawing/screwing/hammering etc. I was gona create a mod for that. As sfy says, some things are either a possibility, or a dead straight no. But if you want to be able to craft bullets have a look at my Resident Evil mod as I created just that, gunpowder + reloading tool to make ammo.
