  1. Thanx for the headups! I have actually asked a friend to help me out, he if anyone (people I know) have the skill to guide me through this. I even gifted him a copy so now he just cannot refuse. This language is just plain hard to "get it right" that the game wouldn´t feel, let´s say cheap. I personally hate almost every Finnish translation found in games so yeah, that small thing buggers the most. To get this just right. I have already done maybe about 35% of the translation, but there is still lot to do.. I shall create Finnish topic as soon my friend joins me on this Quest for Holy Grail.. Now I shall start roasting him for this matter. And once again, cheer for the headups..

  4. And I wouldn´t mind if the game had only this save on exit way.. If we think my suggestion about "a chance" and "no chance" little wider. For balance issues every time you would load up this "save on sleep" save game the world would reset, but only on Zomboid side. Items, bodys and so on would stay as they were, only the Zomboid amount and places (inside/outside) would reset. Now.. What about if the character has traits lucky and unlucky. Lucky choice would bring small change that in neightborhood there would be smaller amount of Zomboids and if you had unlucky trait, things would be other way around. This idea would bring to those traits even bigger impact. Many RPGs has luck trait, but it is usually a trait that the gamer won´t see in action and rarely feel. In this idea that trait would have a impact that the gamer would see and also feel. Here in Zomboid I always choose trait unlucky, in real life I rarely succeed in anything so that trait is my own personal favorite..
  5. Good point, very good point and even better example.. I do understand this and be willing to leave the thought behind.Game is challeging as it is and this IS good way to go forward. I have noticed that besides I die a lot, it just won´t take gaming pleasure away. I am always willing to start over, be more careful and so on.. So yes, devs do know better. Still crossed my mind about two modes " a chance" and " no chance".. Where " a chance" would save the game every time character sleeps and only in one slot and " no chance " would be like game is know.. In "a chance" if character dies, gamer would have chance to continue playing with that beloved character from the last wake up, BUT it would also force the gamer to make the right decision before going to sleep.. And by decisions I mean how the gamer lived whole day before. But still, this was just an idea and yes, still, devs knows best.. I shall leave this idea behind and wait what awesomes the devs shall create
  6. My little suggestion conserns about the saving of the game.. Now... I know that people like the idea of permadeath and so do I, but for this once lets think things a little wider shall we, spare with me.. Now.. What if the game consisted two difficulty modes, lets call them (I have to be really creative with this one), mmmh normal and hardcore, yeah, I think I did it. Now... Normal would allow saving anywhere anytime, but only in one save game slot.. So if your character runs into trouble, you would have a chance to change that outcome with that only save game.. Its a small chance, but if you would have the skills, outcome would maybe change, and precious character would survive without too much of damage And for Hardcore, things would be like they are now.. Permadeath, exit from the game and those jaw droppings of misbelief.. Now why do I suggest this? Well.. I have played around now many times and longest run is now 6 days and 15 hours.. I really liked my character, choosed traits which I liked, named my hero as allmighty Artyx Hawkins, was extra careful about everything and still got bitten in the leg by zombie which was stucked between trees day before... So.. At least on Normal difficulty mode you could change a counter that was a true suprise. And I don´t mean that the player wasn´t careful enough because I was.. This difficulty level would allow small changes.. And when we are speaking about only one save game slot, these days its still rather small amount. But the difficulty level naming should be little more creative.. I (letz say) sock in that
  7. Done and done.. Really sorry about it, I asked about it another thread because, I myself saw it very first time (as a signature) and it really bugged me out.. Now that I know I´m not the only one, all is good... And I just wanna say that Zomboid is really shaping out and one reason why I´m eager for split is the small thought that the game would come to consoles someday in the future and split on consoles is a huge selling point.. For U guys.. Thanx for the correction about the cr*pp* signature.. Now of to the survivor mode.. Need to break my 5 days 21 hours record
  8. I just have to ask a question about the translations stuff.. I am rather interested to translate the game into this sick sick language called Finnish The main problem is that Finska language is rather, hmmh lets say versatile... So the line "Pour Into" found in Contex menu file, if I´m not totally misunderstanding the game finds "The thing" after "Pour Into" from Items file or somewhere else... So.. The main problem is that lets say "Pour into bowl" would be translated as "Kaada kulhoon". As you can see original language has 3 words and finnish has only 2. So Finnish language changes one word into something that means "multiply" or combines two words that means, errr very hard to explain One way to deal with this problem would be a simple line "Pour Into=Kaada ->" and the "->" would basicly get rid of all the problems, maybe even all situations, but how would the devs feel about line like that? In game it would look like: Kaada -> Kulho Kaada -> Tyhjä pullo (actually in Finnish this would be Tyhjään Pulloon how sick is that?) Another way would be two lines instead of one like "bowl=kulho" and only for the usage like pour into "bowl=kulhoon". Oh man, now I have lost it...   10. Oh yeah, patience is the virtue and this game has so much potential, beyond any other survivor game. I shall wait till the kingdom come BUT Would there be any change, even a little one that next update would bring one little thing.. And the thing is "zoom" for Xbox 360 controller? I know that split screen option is pretty much untouched and there are many many thing before any kind on multiplayer bugs would be touched. But with that little "zoom" option I and many (?) others could play (better) split screen as it is now, maybe start a new thread where all the bugs at this moment and future the builds would be told, the major/game braking ones. This would help enourmously in the future for the split multiplayer bug hunting. And if this could happen, as a 97% console player I would say (as told before) Left Stick Button + Right Stick UP/DOWN=Zoom IN/OUT Cheers
  11. Oh so many pages, can´t read them all The first page list did include online multiplayer as yes. I hope that the splitscreen option would be done also and full X360 controller support. These two has been said and promised in many instance, but I don´t know if plans have changed? I know that people want online action, but the splitscreen gameplay is a dying species especially on PC. I just would love to hook my laptop on big screen and play with my wife or a friend. Nothing beats a good old fashioned couch coop and PZ would be a KING in that
  12. Yup, and this kind of things will be easier to implement once 3D model 100% finish Can´t wait for the 3D modelling patch to be finished and more finished 360 controller support. I think that the Xbox 360 controller would work much better with 3D characters, much smoother and sharper gameplay. Two controllers, split screen on big TV and few hmmh "refreshing" drinks. I can imagine it already... Hmmh. Left stick button + Right stick UP/DOWN=Zoom IN/OUT? Would work me thinks..
