I have been meaning to ask for a while now, when will the animation moding tools be released ? At build 41 full release ? Excited about the upcoming patch !
  2. Hello, I have some stuttering in this build again, like we had a few build back (When driving around, every second is a few frame stutter). I also almost died because a zombie decided to jump through a window a few squares away from my character and made me fall down to the ground, gonna have to fight only in open space until the secret sauce is refined. Loving everything else !
  3. Ah so that's what happened ! Makes sense. So if I just get the car our of said garage it shouldn't drain my health, correct ? Thank you for the answers, and keep up the wonderful work. As for balancing it, maybe starting off with very very minimal damages that increase exponentially over time would work better, so that you can get in and out of your garae without much risk, but can't stay in with your car running for a long time.
  4. It happened both in an outdoors area and inside a parking. What you just made me think about is that it happened both time in a moded location that might be different (IE, plain wooded area) in the base game, maybe the game thinks I am driving into trees when I am actually not ? Though the road there still exists in the base game, so not sure this could explain it.
  5. Or just keep on going without ever using a car again, I don't really wanna waste months of survival haha
  6. Hello, I experienced a bug in the latest version, whenever I get into a car and start the engine I start losing health very rapidly, I almost died from it. I thankfully was able to exit the game, turn on the debug mode and save my character via healing the parts getting damaged to max health (Head and upper torso). I noticed that sometimes the damage stops and is healed to full automatically when I turn off the vehicle (not always though). My character doesn't suffer actual injuries that appear in the health panel, it appears to be similar to heavy carry weight HP loss. I would gladly share the logs if that helps, though I have no idea which log would be of interest in this case. Wonderful work on the game, loving the update so far ! Edit : I don't use mods I think should matter for the issue, but I will attach the list nontheless : Bedford Falls Fort Redstone Midriver Modtemplate Overlook Stonehill Apts
  7. That is the thing, to me you can not do that in a realistic setting. Humans are very good at grabbing and holding onto things. You wouldn't be able to stiff-arm your way through a few zombies blocking your way "in real life" without getting scratched/bitten. I think the new update has a very nice way of showing that THESE THINGS WANT TO EAT YOU and if you give them the chance, they will. For the kicks and everything, it is interesting but same thing, if I kick someone in real life and am not trained to do so in the proper way, and if the person I am kicking doesn't give a shit about pain, they might just grab my leg, and again : game over. I just really love the realism of it all ! The idea of the shoving efficiency being tied with the strength stat is a wonderful one ! Also I am sure as soon as the clothing modding tools are released we will have armours and duct tapped magazines in the game and you will then be able to shrug off the scratches zombies give you when you bump into them.
  8. Try imagining the real zombie apocalypse for a moment, imagine 4 full grown adults who don't give a damn about pain, can only be stopped by smashing their head into a pulp trying to grab you and eat you. Would you fight them ? Would you win that fight ? Let's be real, the answer is no, and that's what the "apocalypse" difficulty is all about. It's about being scared ! Sandbox is there if that's not fun for you, and there is nothing wrong with that ! I don't play the hardest difficulty in rimworld because what I like is story and base building, not killboxes. Zomboid just like rimworld are not competitive games, the only point is to have fun, make your own fun ! I am just saying that I have seen a few of your posts around and you seem frustrated because you wanna play the game "the way it's meant to be played by the Devs" but at the same time you don't have fun doing so. The Devs made a sandbox game with a plethora of options to tweak the experience and mods to boot, to make it so everyone can have fun, no matter if it's by mowing thousands of zombies with automatic silenced weapons and grenades, or living like a cockroach, hiding in the deepest parts of the woods, dreading the day the hordes finally catches up with you. No one but yourself is gonna judge you for the way you play this game ! Have fun !
  9. First off, I have to say that I absolutely love the new animations, they feel great, play great, and the new sneaking movement, and new clothing are all amazing, can't wait for the animZed tool to be released, it is gonna be absolutely glorious, thank you to all the team for the hard work ! Now for the few little issues I have encountered had so far : -Driving while in a big storm with puddles everywhere on the ground was absolutely murdering my frame rate (think 1sec lag every few frames). As soon as the car would stop, the framerate would come back to normal. It was in the middle of the countryside with not a single zombie around. Only solution was to pop sleeping pills and wait it out. Not sure if this is due to the rain, or the puddles. It seemed to get way better when I got off the car and was just walking around. This is all on a mid range laptop (Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050, i7 and 16Go RAM) -What felt like a cheap death : Opened a door in a house (no zombie was banging on it) and the instant it opened, I got bitten (no time to react at all). Maybe there should be a little delay to zombie aggro/reaction time in that particular situation ? -In the character window, there is an option to "Untie hair" (even though my character had long hair, untied) that when clicked immediatly made my character shaved/bald. I did not even have any cutting tool in my inventory. -Some roofs are sometime visible while inside a house Everything else plays absolutely wonderfully, I didn't have a problem getting used to the responsiveness of the player character (I know a lot of people complain about it, wanted to ring the other bell to counterbalance) and I absolutely love the new difficulty ! Keep up the amazing work. Unrelated, I got very excited at the deer model !
