  1. The specific error is this: java.lang.RuntimeException: can't create player at x,y,z=8208,11600,0 because the square is null That usually means that the area you are trying to spawn in does not exist. Can you make sure that you have the Muldraugh, KY map loaded in your Maps= line in your server settings? It should be always at the end.
  2. I trust that the game does not run for you, though I do not have much information to try and help, it seems like some sort of Java or computer issue as you have said. Do you have all the Windows updates installed? Since sometimes not having those can cause issues.
  3. Thanks, there does seem to be this specific message there of an error dump being created: LOG : Network , 1697762069331> 0> [CoopMaster] Unknown message incoming from the slave server: # An error report file with more information is saved as: LOG : General , 1697762069331> 0> SERVER: # /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/ProjectZomboid/projectzomboid/hs_err_pid8848.log Can you share the hs_err_pid log as shown in the message so we can have a look there as well? Additionally, can you make sure that you have the latest stable Steam deck version installed? Just check if there are any pending updates.
  4. Try checking your Environment Variables in that case: https://docs.oracle.com/en/database/oracle/machine-learning/oml4r/1.5.1/oread/creating-and-modifying-environment-variables-on-windows.html#GUID-DD6F9982-60D5-48F6-8270-A27EC53807D0 Check if you have any sort of Java variables forced in those settings. If I remember correctly, there should be no Java settings in there.
  5. There is not much information to go on in that case, as the issue creates no errors, it means the game is not crashing or having problems, but something is just preventing it from loading. In the case that it might be a permission issue, can you try reinstalling the game on a different hard drive if possible?
  6. The last 5 logs just have a ton of mods enabled and a lot of mod errors. Therefore the issue is likely mod related. Are you sure you disabled them properly to test them out? I would recommend going to the Zomboid folder again and deleting the "mods" folder there. After that try starting a new game.
  7. Try resetting all your game settings as well just to see if there is an issue there. Go to “C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder.
  8. Thanks, the logs themselves look perfectly fine without any errors. Driver seem up to date, hardware is also fine, so I cannot find anything wrong with the game itself. The input issue would be a good lead, do you perhaps have any Corsair software running in the background? Maybe that may be causing the issues with the game instead of the keyboard itself. I assume the software is needed to configure the memory buttons.
  9. Can you share the console.txt file as well? And how much RAM are you assigning the server?
  10. Do you perhaps have anything running in the background when starting the game? Any sort of graphical control applications? Or anything that overclocks the graphics?
  11. Does it close by itself if you use the Alternate Launch or is it just stuck at loading?
  12. You can also try going to the C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid folder and edit the options.ini file. In that file, edit the fullscreen=true line to fullscreen=false Then try launching the game again.
  13. The game seems to fail after loading the resolution / starts loading the graphics. There may be a few issues that can happen at that point. Do you perhaps have any controllers or joysticks connected to the PC? Can you try unplugging them and then starting the game?
  14. Just to check for anything else, can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
  15. It is likely that there was a problem spawning the character or some other unusual issue caused by mods, which is why I would suggest testing on a different server to make sure it does not happen on all servers, alternatively you can test it on a server without mods.
  16. Does the issue happen without any mods? Are you able to join any other servers?
  17. What are your Mac specifications? That issue is usually caused by the Nvidia drivers no longer being supported by Apple, which means older Mac models can no longer run applications such as PZ correctly.
  18. Likely caused by mods, did you manage to replicate it with all the mods disabled? The cheat menu mod is fine to use.
  19. That should not be the case unless there is something wrong with the game, the logs should be very small. You can use any file-sharing website of your choice or a temporary one like filetransfer.io for example to share it instead of the forum in that case.
  20. 4gb of RAM is not enough to run a server, our minimum recommended amount for PCs with servers would be 8GB, since the server itself needs a minimum of 3GB and then the game also needs 3GB
  21. Thanks, the issue is that you do not have enough free RAM to assign to the server. How much are you assigning and how much total does your PC have? I would recommend assigning less and then try starting the server again.
  22. And this happens without any mods? Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
  23. Usually located in the Home/Zomboid folder, the files are exactly the same as on Windows, just the location is in Home instead of User.
  24. Does it happen on a new save as well?
  25. Sure, can you share the required logs and other information as OP did?
