  1. Greetings, I was wondering if there was any way to decrease the rarity of the food generated by this mod. I want to try to play a "hardcore" playthrough starting in winter without power/water, and with very limited supplies. But even with all the rarity settings (Food, weapons, other) on "extremely rare", I seem to quickly find myself swimming in tons of non-perishable food as well as canned and jarred food ! Do you know how I could reduce the amount of stuff (especially food) generated by this mod ? It would be great. Thank you

Definitely not "the best" spot, but one I like regardless : http://pzmap.crash-override.net/#0.6386259151637963,0.16031766492247304,284.85157655972347 It has a very close proximity to downtown to get supplies, an indestructible fence on one side, two 2-story houses, garages for tool storage, as well as trees to get lumber. I like to build a fence around the perimeter like this (I hope you'll forgive my horrendous MS Paint skills, I haven't saved any screenshot) http://imgur.com/6oy7HnZ With a platform running all around the fortress with several sheet ropes for maximum escapability and mobility. It leaves enough room for farming and leisure. Due to the proximity of the fuel station, this spot is also sweet if you use the excellent yet unknown mod : http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/15727-powering-gasoline-pump/ that allows you to refill gas cans at stations after the power shut-off. Free electricity !
  3. Thank you for the answers guys. @BayCon : for the time being, I know there's crossbows in Hydrocraft. But they should be implemented in the core game sooner or later according to this topic. @EnigmaGrey : thank you for the advice. But even with "follow sound distance" on the minimum setting, I still aggro tons of zeds... I have found a temporary solution that may interest some people. Find the line "SoundRadius"in the weapon files and replace the value ( /3 seems to be a good alternative for my tastes)
  4. Greetings fellow PZ Community I know firearms are supposed to be loud AF, and Zeds should be attracted to sound. But I would like to be able to use firearms without aggroing half of the town ! Until now I have always used firearms to relocate zombies from one place to another, but never in the purpose of killing zombies. That's something that lacks to the game IMHO, especially with such an awesome mod as ORGM. I have read topics regarding gun suppressors, and players as much as devs were vehemently against implementing suppressors. That's all right by me. But some people enjoy games differently than others ; while I love traveling through the land of Skyrim with tons of lore-friendly mods, adding realistic features, realistic combat system etc... some other people enjoy it by replacing dragons with cute pink flying pegasus ponies, replacing mighty Thu'um shouts with deadly farts, and many more. To each their own, heh ? So my request is the following : could someone make a small mod to nerf zombies' hearing when it comes to gunshots ? Or maybe with the game's words : greatly reduce weapons' noise ? Thank you very much in advance
  5. You seem quite upset about a game and developers you dislike. If they bother you, why not just leave ? Speak your piece about the game mechanisms you would like to see changes on (but there's a suggestions subforum), game developers usually love constructive feedback to improve their product. Also you say you despise passive-aggressiveness. That makes the almost-totality of your message quite ironic IMO.

  7. Greetings, this mod is a must-have, clearly the most comprehensive ever. However, I find myself stuck with a problem : I'd like to live off farming, but planting fruits and most vegetables requires both 10 (ten !) at farming, and one sample of the fruit you want to plant. I could never reach 10 in farming before the power shutoff, and the fruit I require would rot by then. Is there a way to plant fruits with a rotten sample of said fruit ? I have another question : can I craft cheese, and if so, how do I do that ?
  8. It always happens to me, I use a couple mods (including Hydrocraft), but in my case it goes up like crazy and is permanently displayed. After 10 minutes, the countdown can reach 100,000-ish errors (well at least I'm guessing this is an error box). It's not clickable or anything.
