  1. Naturally, you need around 3-4 years for wild vines to grow that much – to cover the window entirely to prevent the movement in and out… same with doors…. After all, its Muldraugh, Kentucky, not the Amazon jungle….
  2. Currently, the default melee weapon strike is one that aiming for the head. Its good – coz sometimes you can smash his head and kill zombie from a single hit…. But, they not always fall down… So my suggestion is – to have an option of aiming for the legs. Holding a SHIFT button for example and strike. This way, your hit will 99% chance kick zombie to the ground, and you can finish him easily. As a “downside”, this swing can be more dangerous to perform, than a normal strike to the head, because of the shorter weapon swing radius – coz you need to band a little bit to hit the legs. Ohh, one more thing - if you don’t kill this zombie – with a 90% chance he will become a “crawler” coz his legs are broken now... Another new strike suggestion is a “side push” Currently, when I strike a zombie – he will step back or fall. I suggest a hit that pushes the zombie to the side and not backward. What is it good for? Several times I was in a situation, when zombies followed me to the roof of the building. So, I want to be able to kick him down – pushing him from the roof to his death.
  3. Few things that I was thinking about: 1) Umbrella. You don’t get wet in the rain. 2) Raincoat. You still getting wet but it will take much longer. 3) Under rain, your clothes will become wet – like the towel that you using to dry your self. Changing your wet clothes with the dry clothes will make you dry much faster. And it will give you reason to collect and stockpile more clothes. 4) A special hanger to hang the wet clothes and towels to make them dry again. Maybe, you can even build it your self. 5) More different types of shoes. Sport sneakers – gives you a bonus to your running speed. Or heavy army boots – gives you some bonus to your damage when fighting unarmed. 6) Alarm clock. It will wake you up exactly at the time you choose. (it’s not as loud as a gun shoot – it won’t bring zombies from all around the neighborhood… but it may draw attention of those close to your house) It also can be used in purposely to draw zombies attention. Place it at the location you want and set the time – it will call the nearby zombies to the location you choose… Now, where is my shotgun?...
  4. But what about some really, really, really rare loot on zombies… ? Stuff that you won’t find anywhere else in the game…. Like: Bulletproof vest – on the zombie policeman…(protects your torso from bites) or A safe key – on a zombie banker ))) you can now open that Knox Bank safe that you saw and have no other way to open it otherwise. or Rich-looking cigar-case with, well, a cigars in it. (removes your fatigue and sorrow mood) Stuff that you wont find anywhere else in the game!
  5. The magazines, the rubber doll… I mean… I never tried… but, you know… apocalypse… boredom… all alone…all that crap...
  6. Well, if that apocalypse really happens one day, I do thinking about going to the art museums, and taking some great art back to my home…. Well, you know... to save it... for the next generations and all that… )))
  7. You do find wallets on zombies, often… you cannot open it however… But then again… what will you do with the money now?...
  8. 1) A new tool: pliers or nippers… with it, you can remove good nails and regain them back. Before you breaking the walls and barricades you've made – take some time to pull the nails back… It can be a chance of 20% success for example.. because, not all the nails stay in good shape after you use them… 2) There is a screwdriver in game – so there must be screws!! They can be an alternative to nails. And you can unscrew them back easily, undamaged, ready to reuse… 3) When building walls and your carpentry level is low (1,2,3) – the walls look holey and rickety… Later on – you see the difference when you start to build walls on hight carpentry level (4,5). I want to be able to repair those holey walls that I have builded earlier (maybe1 more plank + 1 more nail) to look the same as builded on level 4,5. Without breaking them down to build them again just for them to look the same. 4) I want to be able to clean those broken windows frםm the shards of glass Maybe even, to be able to install a new glass, that I can bring from the neighbors house… but that’s someday later… at first, at least - to clean those shards. 5) There also can be a small chance to cut yourself if you climbing thru the broken window without cleaning those shards first. Especially when the character is tired, sleepy or heavy loaded with bag 6) And one more thing… maybe a heavy rain can wash and clean the bloodstains… especially from the asphalt…
  9. It can be way cooler if you can actually meet your dead old character as a zombie )))) You can recognize him by the big blue bag on his back, or… dressed like your character was dressed… or he will be the only zombie still carrying that nailed baseball bat… no, no swinging with it – just dragging around with him, that’s all. I don’t know If it will be cool to smash the head of your old character with your new one… but I bet that blue bag have a lot of good stuff…
  10. You’ve ruined my dreams! Since The Evil Dead movie, I knew that chainsaw is a “must have” weapon in case of zombie invasion. Well, and the shotgun, of course. )) I thought only a direct bite or a scratch is infected…. If getting in contact with zed’s blood is also a way to get infection… then yes, chainsaw is probably not a best tool to kill zombies.
  11. Ahhmmm what???? Seriously!! Why?? Yes, it is loud, I know, so it will definitely draw zed’s to your location… but, it’s the perfect tool to cut legs, hands and heads of all who near! It’s a “one touch kill” weapon! It is a MUST have weapon for every zombie apocalypse I can imagine…
  12. Sorry, it’s already at the [y] list. Please delete the topic.
  13. I run out of all the stocks of water I’ve made, and I had only 1 barrel so far and it was empty because of no rain… so I took all the empty bottles I could find and I went to search for water in the neighborhood. Then, in one rich looking house, in a bathroom, while I was filling some water from a toilet…ahmm... from a flush tank (I guess) the idea suddenly strike me! There is a bath here! (Well… dah!! It’s a bath-room) I mean, what if I could fill this bath with water! (when water was still working of course…) It’s probably a two or tree barrels of water here! So my suggestion (you already got it) to be able to fill the bath with water (like we can do it with pans and bowls) and to use it later, when water is gone. It will also be smart to lock the door (if the “locking doors” suggestion will be implemented) and probably even barricade the window. I don’t want to come here later and find some zombie taking a bath…
  14. Thanks Suomiboi, And yes, you probably right… zombies suppose to be rotting, bleeding, “juicy” and accordingly - hard to ignite with a single hit… Well, I guess then I am suggesting a simple torch
  15. I disagree! Spear is a good weapon against a zombie. (yes, I agree that axe is much better) but, spear is good in a different way. Well?? Why then you are aiming to his stomach? Aim to his head!! Zombies are slow and clumsy! They don’t even try to evade your hits – just aim and strike! But I am not suggesting to fight with spear against NPC with other weapons… of course axe, gun or a bazooka is much better. I am suggesting to fight a zombie. And the main purpose of this weapon is to hit him at the maximum (melee weapon) long range and push him back. Of course, you have to choose the weapon carefully to each occasion… you don’t want to enter a narrow corridor or a tiny bathroom with a spear or a baseball bat... I always take a good knife when I am opening a bathroom doors… if couple of zombies jumping out on me – only a knife is fast enough to kill them with one \ two hits. But when you outside on an open road, in my opinion - spear is excellent!
  16. We have the fuel canister (I think even a whisky bottle will do) spill some on the weapon and ignite it with lighter! Let the fights begin! The main purpose of that is of course some fun The advantages are: More damage. A baseball bat with nails and on fire!! Come and get it zombie!! A high chance to ignite a zombie when hit. One zombie on fire can ignite others that walking close to him. You can use a flaming baseball bat as a torch! You can fight and illuminate your way around at night at the same time )) You can go for a night raids! The disadvantage is: Your weapon’s durability goes down even if you don’t fight… well coz its on fire…, so eventually it will burn down to ashes. No repair options available. I guess you can also ignite it at the campfire – no need of fuel or whisky in this case. It will take some time, like when you drink from a sink. And you can also extinguish the weapon in a water barrel, if you have one near you. Advantage: 1) More damage. 2) A high chance to ignite a zombie. 3) A chance to ignite the whole horde of them!! 4) Gives you light at night, like a torch. 5) Easy to craft. Disadvantage: 1) Weapon’s durability goes down constantly. 2) Weapon will be destroyed. 3) Unrepairable
  17. What you need to remember when you fighting a zombie? That even, a slightest infected scratch may kill you. No matter how strong you are or how many you already killed or what a great fortress you have…. A single tiny scratch can infect you. And you finished. So, the main goal when you fight a zombie is to keep him as far from you as possible. That’s why guns are so great! – but the downside of guns is that they loud. You easily kill one zombie but you calling 100 more to your location. And bullets of course… there’s never enough…. So, my suggestion is to create a SPEAR! It is very easy to craft! I mean, all you need is a long enough stick, a simple kitchen knife and some bandages to bind them together. Any plank would work fine and there is so many knifes in game. The advantage of this weapon, as I said, is its hitting range. I guess it will be twice greater distance than a normal baseball bat swing hit. Oh, and there better be a different character animation for that… its not an axe slashing type of strike – it have to be some piercing lunge forward hit… It won't knock zombie to the ground (well, it can, but not that often like a baseball bat) but it will push them back, away from you. (and give them some damage of course) Good for a distance control. The disadvantage of this weapon, is its low durability… The durability of all knifes is pretty low… But the advantage is that you can create many spears, easily from common materials. Advantage: 1) Easy to craft. 2) The longest hit range melee weapon. 3) Pushing zombies away from you. Disadvantage: 1) Low durability. I am reading the forum now and I see that people have already suggested spears, many times… (sorry)
  18. I guess, it can be on the character creation list of bonuses and downsides that you pick for your character at the very beginning… Allergy to some fruits (-4) Allergy to some vegetables (-4) And the interesting part of that is that you don’t know to which fruits or vegetables your character will have the allergy. Not until you eat them… Better have pills prepared… I like the idea. )
