I'm sooooo dumb.
I wanted to make a soup but i burned house...
My crew will kill me.
oh wait i'm already dead...
Wow, even when i deliberately TRY to burn a house down, i can't....whats your secret????

I have thought about West Point but the issue is more players decide to spawn in Muldraugh then West Point and i want the town to be a trade hub
Yeah, i just realized that .

I have some ideas when it comes to armor should the developers decide to implement it.
Kevlar Vest: rare in Police stations and few random houses (where policemen would live), protects against pistol damage from NPCs
Leather Jacket: Protects against zombie scratches and NPCs with a knife
Jean Jacket: 1/2 protection of a leather jacket
Boots: Prevents scratches from crawlers but slows character down and exhaustion from sprinting happens faster
All of these item should have limited protection and life, jackets rip, boots get holes in them, etc.
I don't know about the location where this game is set but I am from a rural area and finding an AR-22, AR-15 or a bolt action hunting rifle would not be difficult. I think more zombies should have ammo on them because they would have been defending themselves before they turned and guns (or various weapons) in various conditions could be found where there is a lot of blood maybe with a few zombie bodies laying around them because people would defend themselves as they were overrun.
Kentucky. It's actually modelled on a real town, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muldraugh,_Kentucky
Named weapons are a definite no, extra weapons are possible, but ammo is deliberately sparse for game-balance reasons It may get tweaked later on
Why the no named weapons rule? Legal reasons or something? Just want to know

Today in RingoD's stream we we're having a conversation about the helicopters and shit and Silver said something about troops coming down from the helicopter and lemmy said some about it being able to happen in the future.
I'm pretty certain that's what he said..
Military aid is a definite no
I know this was a post a while ago, but what about a military sweep and clean team? Basically a military search and destroy team that goes in to hunt survivors and execute them to get rid of the governments ties to the outbreak, imagine a bunch of hitmen going in to get rid of incriminating evidence, i think that would be a interesting plot in the kate and bald spot story, maybe to introduce advanced armed combat?

This update is going to be awesome!

What i am hoping for is a sort of woodsbury type place where civilians are protected at a expansive military ran outpost. Anyone that enters the town would have to turn in their weapons and they would be kept under watch, but other than that they can buy property using 9mm bullets and shotgun shells, 1 9mm bullet equaling 1 US dollar and a shotgun shell equaling 20 US Dollars, sort of like Metro 2033 and its sequel Last Light. Civilians could get a 20x20 plot of land and soldiers can sleep in a apartment-like complex with a armory, liquor bar, and a library. Soldiers and Police Officers will get payed depending on the amount of ammo found in a scavenging run, where-as traders could trade useful items like construction materials, clothing, and food and drink, not to mention seeds for farming in and around the outpost. There would be a tax of 1 9mm round for anything above 6 bullets, and 2 for anything over 2 shotgun shells. I would likely make base around the lake house or the farm to the west so we can make use of their food supplies and independent water sources. If we were to choose the farm to the west the main house would be the town hall, the barn, the one with the giant hay pile next to it, the traders office, and the SMALL town next to it the pre-built housing. The pony roam-o is to be the area for military personnel only. The crimes and their proceeding punishment will be stated in a later post.
I said it before and I'l say it again, my name is not spelt correctly in the list of soldiers ):
Sorry man, ill fix it right away.
Thanks
Glad to be of service!

I vote for the third, it's really nice and well located, but you should also check this area out, this place would be great because we would only expect a attack from one area. http://pzmap.crash-override.net/#0.6907331004228839,0.11600181075459995,71.21289413993088.

Name: Garett Hart
Race: Caucasian
Age: 25
Sex: Male
Role/Division: Sniper
Character bio: *bang* .. The sizzling remains of a brain fell flat on the ground with a squish.
Looking around, Garett jumped down from the car on which he recently had taken a stand against at least a dozen of these.. things. He walked up to the nearest couple of corpses, built a small pile of which he slid underneath. The horde was coming, and his best chance was to just wait for them to pass.
-
This wasn't exactly the life Garett had expected when he came back from the military. He had only been back for about a week when things started going down. Luckily, this was a new town in which he had been employed as a "keeper of the peace" -- He knew nobody, and that was likely the reason why he had made it this far.
-
Thinking it was his best chance to make it to the police station, Garett had journeyed through the entire town to get there. Now after two hours of lying completely still, waiting for the horde to pass, he had very little way left.
There it was, the police station. Wait, what are those figures by the entrance? They're human! Perhaps his best bet would be to join the group. Well, it's all or nothing.
Garett goes out of cover, starts to carefully wave and shouts "Hey!".

I've been thinking, when the Kate and Baldspot tutorial first came out i wondered,"Where did they come from, and how did they get in that predicament? Did they get stuck in Muldraugh during a vacation, or did they get stuck there because Louisville was the first to go?" So i was thinking, how about a world that gets persistently worse as the infection spreads? Like everything is normal, then police get called in, then riots in the streets, then the CDC and the National Guard gets called in, then they quarantine the area, then they start bombing runs, then the quarantine fails and it spreads even farther. Please write your criticism and your thoughts in the comments!

If Lousville really does have giant skyscrapers and such, there should be a toppled skyscraper in the middle of the city, sort of like the tower in china rising only bloodier and more destroyed.
well, nothing in louisville is taller than 549 feet http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tallest_buildings_in_Louisville
but some type of building destruction would be cool to see
Yeah, i didn't really mean the size of China Rising tower, more along the lines of the AEGON center.
If only the Louisville Museum Plaza was completed... would've added a nice apocalyptic touch of it being toppled...
I'm starting to sound like a sociopath.
No, this is what a sociopath sounds like, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8fvsbQmxZw. You're even more of a sociopath if you watch it all the way through.

Name: Alex Cartty
Race: Caucasian
Age(18 to 40): 26
Role/Division: Field Medic
Character bio: Born and raised in the cold, northern land of Canadia. At the start of the outbreak, Alex was travelling through the states on a tour of many large hospitals to speak with surgeon generals, medics who've served in wars and other people who interested him in his field of medicine.
Being caught in an unfamiliar area when shit started to hit the fan, Alex panicked a bit more than was necessary and locked himself up in a small house just outside of the small town he was in.
Two days into the outbreak, a small group of survivors stumbled upon his safe house and, going against his gut, he let them into his safe house and saved their lives. There were 4 people he saved in total, two of them were ex-police officers going to the police station in town to try and salvage guns and gear to survive, Alex tagged along with them because he was bored sick of being in his safe house eating nothing but canned goods and what was left in the house.
Going into town made Alex realize how bad this outbreak was, after many hours of sneaking around, dodging behind corners and not breathing for long minutes, they finally arrived at the police station entrance, Alex grabbed the door with his left hand (Right was currently taken up by a pocket knife he always has) and tugged.
"Shit, it's locked"

Ninjedit: Are other players going to join or is just going to be the National Guard/force of players on the server?
What i am hoping for is a living server with a force of CDC,Police, and National Guardsmen protecting a large base/settlement and the survivors of the server that are not part of the group. I will look up How-to videos on youtube to find out how to set up a server, so it should be up and running within a week. Reason for the long wait is because the computer that runs Project Zomboid smoothly is at my Fathers house (Parents divorced, live with my mom)
-
So today I was looting some houses, and I came to a one way door shed and ,surprise surprise, the door was locked. That had me thinking, why doesn't PZ have a kick down/shoulder barge door system? Kicking down doors would require more strength but would have a rarer chance to sustain injuries. While shoulder barging doesn't require as much strength, but has a higher chance to sustain injuries. There would also be a high chance of the door coming off it's hinges, and if it doesn't, the door isn't able to properly lock, and zombies can just walk in. So this idea would be great for raiding, but for finding a great safe-house.....
Leave your opinions on this idea, criticism is welcome
i think we should do that, but only after we add NPC's, Ft. Knox, Lousville etc. Don't give a car a new paint job before it's off the assembly line.
-
I think in one of the mondoids they mentioned adding paint and writable notes to PZ, so you could write those notes no problem soon enough. The radios though would be great, maybe they could add them when they add Fort Knox?
-
I personally think that we should absolutely revamp the forests and/or grasslands, but not before we finish/add Louisville,NPC's,Fort Knox, vehicles, and more weapons. Important stuff first, THEN cosmetics. Can't put the paint on the house when its still mostly framework.

I'm talking about a jail like the one from that Johnny Cash movie, Walk the Line, or a Alcatraz type prison except is on land and surrounded by forest. Totally off topic, but there should be a plane crash in the center of Muldraugh, along with car crashes (when they are implemented), abandoned military road stops, and burnt down buildings, because its more than likely someone left their stove on when they were attacked in the kitchen. I personally think that the map is too serene.
-
Will set up server soon, not too long now, should be within a week.
-
I think that, since this is semi rural Kentucky, the prison should be a concrete and steel prison like in those old 1960's prison films and that the only way to get in is through a gate overflowing with zed or using a sledge hammer to get into the courtyard, also overflowing with zed.

I got an invitation for the group to join magnum2016's role-playing server, i accepted and once he sets it up after build 28 we will help him build the town.
This is a Role-Playing group about the Kentucky National Guard after they are sent in to quarantine the towns of Muldraugh and the surrounding areas.
We will have multiple roles, ranks and divisions for people to sign up for. Like medic, foot soldier, sniper (when the developers implement the hunting rifle), CDC Expert, CDC Scientist, Officer, General, CDC Director of Operations etc.
Once we get things under control we shall border off the town of Muldraugh and establish a base of operations outside the town just off the highway coming into Muldraugh.
The sign up sheet is below, copy and paste it into your reply box to get started!
Don't copy and past the words in (this).

Name - Jackson Paul
Age - 27
Gender - Male
Role - Aeronautical/Auto Engineer, Death wish soldier
Background - Jackson lived in Dayton,Ohio and graduated with flying colors from the one of the cities most prestigious high schools, Ponitz Engineering and Technology Center. After he graduated, he got a scholarship to OSU, immediately getting a contract from Boeing to build and maintain it's military cars and planes. He got tired of that, though. Having to live his life under the eyes of both the government and his bosses. He decided he would quit, using his auto engineering skills to set up a automotive shop. It was going great, until his father died in a hunting accident and left his house in Muldraugh, Kentucky and his fortune to him in a will. After getting the letter, he buried his dad and moved to the fathers house in Muldraugh. He decided to move there, moving his business aswell. He met success in the small town, realizing that this is what he wanted all along. Not long after he met a woman and fell in love with her. They went steady for 8 months until, while she was at his house, screams came from his neighbors house. He decided to check it out, leaving her in the house all alone. He grabbed his pistol, loaded it up, and walked across his yard. He knocked multiple times, hearing a glass break on the 4th. He had enough waiting around and kicked in the door, fearing for his neighbors family. What he found in there was horrifying, finding the 6 year old child eating his mothers stomach. He ran away to his house to call the police because what kind of man would he be if he , no matter what it was doing, shot a 6 year old? When he opened the door the father lunged at him, startling him and causing him to stumble onto the ground with a 200 pound man on him. He punched him multiple times to no provail, finally he reached his gun, put it under the mans chin, and blew his brains out all over the grass. When he walked in he saw that the sliding glass door in the kitchen was shattered all over the floor, and that blood was leaking off of the stairs. He walked up the stairs and saw his wife in a heap of intestines and everything else, blood covering the floor. He ran from the house, and didn't look back. 4 months later, after contemplating suicide after the love of his life died, he decided to come back from his hideout in the woods to commit the deed in his own home. There he found a group of survivors looting his house. He asked what they were doing in his home, and they said they were going to rebuild this state from the ground up. He pondered about what he was going to say, then finally asked. "Are you guys looking for an extra hand?"
