Steam Beta Release - 04th Nov 2013 - Version 2.9.9.17 (0010)
Shotokan replied to lemmy101's topic in PZ Updates
This happens almost immediately for me every few seconds. Disabling Steam in game community totally fixed it though. (It was also crashing after the "early access" disclaimer on repeated loads (worked originally). Mac Steam Version 1440 x 900 on rMBP 2.7Ghz i7 Nvidea GT650M OS 10.9 Just for clarification/comparison, I'm on a PC Intel Core i7-2600K @3.4ghz 3.7ghz 8 Gig ram nvidia GTX 590 3gb -

The framerate is much improved, which is great. It's not perfect, but it's playable for sure. It seems to be related to streaming in content because it's worse when moving on diagonals. I did find that after playing for a while, maybe an hour or so, the game starts to periodically freeze for about half a second at a time. Like a hiccup. That includes the sound. Overall though things feel much more polished now -

I'm still getting some frame stuttering, it's definitely better than it was before but it's still enough that I'll wait to continue playing. Also, now I'm noticing sprites flicker in and out of visibility. As I walk around, furniture that should be transparent flickers into full opacity for a frame or so. Keep your heads up devs, you have an awesome game here and it will be a success without a doubt. Unfortunately in your crunch time you've had to change things drastically and that's bound to cause problems. looking forward to playing again. -

No need for condensation I am okay being solid matter. (ok now I'm being condescending but you totally asked for that one) -

Nope not yet. That's why the title of this topic says "UPCOMING" It's pretty hard to keep track.. there are lots of threads that say 'upcomming' but there has been changes to the steam build periodically And those threads no longer say "Upcoming." Pardon me for not keeping diligent track of the forums.. your condescensions have really made me see the error of my ways. -

I saw that the fps issues have been ironed out, but I'm still getting terrible stuttering. Is the fix just not pushed out to steam yet? -

In Options, set shaders to "no" and Video Memory to "Low." Setting the shaders off did the trick, (thank you), but the game now jitters and stutters like crazy.. the framerate claims to be 60-80 at all times but it clearly isn't. After turning shaders off the menu says that the hardware doesn't support them. I have an nVidia GTX 590. are the 2 GPUs a problem? The game used to run perfectly fine but I used to run it in 32 bit mode. -

Can't get into the game.. the loading screens show up but when the game should load there is a black screen of death until i eventually click all over and the game finally crashes. The music does change as though you entered the game. (tried starting new world several times) -
Steam Beta Release - 23rd Aug 2013 - Version 2.9.9.17

I noticed an odd issue in the steam build http://i.imgur.com/8kDF0Ez.jpg (besides the obvious issue of the road showing up) The pattern of black gaps in the road look somewhat like the pattern that teleported crops seem to follow. If I had to guess, I'd say that teleporting crops, invisible walls and perhaps this are all related. Some issue with terrain streaming I'd bet. -

errm.. that makes no sense at all... haha It does feel like it's taking a long time though, considering the non-wait between 15 and 16. I've been spoiled by that brief peak at rain barrels! I can't go back and play without them now -

Why would they want something that insanely, game-breakingly overpowered? It`s allready like this and i thing developers should fix this in following vesion. Obviously adding of options like "climbing over crates" (for player and zombies) is enough. I hope that can wait honestly.. I'm really looking forward to playing again but I want to wait for functioning rain barrels and whatnot -
It's not a problem, you're right. It's just a 'nice to have' even just some grime and dirt here and there would help. Those townfolk were incredibly tidy people!

I'm a big fan of this game, but one thing I notice that bugs me is that the world is so pristine looking. If a zombie apocalypse happened, you'd expect to see more destruction and chaos around I would think. Like pre-boarded up windows and doors, blood everywhere, corpses, burnt down buildings, signs of looting and vandalism, etc. Also broken down vehicles (I assume this is already planned) would go a long way to make things look more realistic.

FORUM TEST RELEASE: Project Zomboid - Version 2.9.9.16
Shotokan replied to RobertJohnson's topic in PZ Updates
Aside from the rain barrel thing, I also can't dig anymore. The option just doesn't show up for some reason. I was able to use it for a while to plant a few things but now I can't. I tried equipping the trowel in all slots, nothing helps. Restarting doesn't fix it. I also got no experience in farming. Also my crafted doors can only be opened from the bottom, it can't be moused over if you are behind it. One more thing, the game briefly freezes when equipping something. Love the game, looking forward to fixes on these things. Edit * forgot to mention, my kill count went insane when i shot up some zombies with a shotgun.. it seemed to increase every tick until it maxed out at 62000 or whatever max integer is Edit 2 * I fully walled off an area and couldn't go through my doors or see inside anymore. I had to break down a wall and restart to be able to get back in
