Sangennaru got a reaction from Pjuux in Another Sprites Thread
Hello everyone!
inspired by Doublebrain i started to do some sprite work as well, starting from 3ds i speed sculpted.
I did some experiment to upload them on my buildings, but for the moment i'm just doing them and waiting for the (hopefully) upcoming update... otherwise it will be nice to have them for my games nonetheless!
I'll put here some images, but still i don't have figured out the best way to create the larger file... probably i'll need to write a small program in c++ if there's no another one!
impressions? they look pretty well near to the official ones, but some parts can be worked to have less antialiasing, maybe! The function "Posterize" from Photoshop might do the work!

Sangennaru got a reaction from Kirrus in Where do I post sprites? Maybe here?
Doublebrain, inspired by your work i started myself with some 3d. As you said, it's quite hard to make it looks as a drawn sprite, but i think that with a little photoshop post-production i made something ok. In the pic there's a vase and a Evangelion poster. As i said in the other thread, i'd like to do some experiments with a japanese town.
i'll try with some more complex objects. However, if i find the ultimate method i might take 20 minutes to make something like the humvee, from the beginning to the end. =)
EDIT: Some manga shelves for every good Otaku teenager:
Cheers again,
Jack

To add to Sieben's comment try to check in worlded if your building is on level 0. It's really easy to accidentally put it on level 1 which means that if you go near it, the game only shows you the ground floor and therefore the building might disappear.

Hi Sangennaru!
What I've heard from the others, Z spawning in houses seems currently a little buggy.
Disappearing: Why you don't upload your *.tbx file for us, so someone of us can take a closer look on your building. I never seen a complete building disappear . Maybe you build it on the 2nd floor and don't mention it.
Otherwise: your lamppost at the entrance should be one tile away from the building, because it merge with it
Edit: The mistake I've made in my first building: Don't place stairs above each other! You can't go down anymore!
