  1. Yo, what the flip kind of pies are you eating? I've had some pies that would kick almost any cakes ass up and down the dessert table. This is where I'd reply "You are merely adequate!" but then I'd have to . . . discourage . . . myself. *Hides pumpkin pie*
  2. Cake is delicious. Pie is merely adequate.
  3. Cake has fallen so far behind . . . but it will weather this storm of pie.
  4. You dont say? I know, nuts, right? I expected it to be some sort of buff. Buffed you right out of existence.
  5. He's been . . . discouraged . . . This thread will endure.
  6. Alright, we're comparing something that isn't playable to something that's playable with inconvenient pauses . . . That's my only point. None the less, this might be a thing of the past soon for both groups. Ooh, mysterious.
  7. Being able to play the game above 30 fps is now equivalent to playing it in the 1-24 range? I find this so very hard to believe . . .
  8. As I said, it's hard to classify this as an issue if you're above 30 FPS . . . There are many more people frightfully below this.
  9. And now you see why I've removed this abstract conversation from the concrete discussion of a game. Erm. Maybe.
  10. At the moemnt, I'd say if your slow downs don't go below 30 FPS, something is working well on your end. Do you get any short pauses with your SSD? It should be noted the Steam builds are essentially beta builds of alpha builds that aren't in any tangible way stable. If an annoying problem persists, it's best to just revert to an earlier version. As to the left-click, you should still become exhausted as you swing, to the point where you're only pushing zombies off (giving them plenty of opportunity to surround and devore you). This might require you to play the beta of a beta of an alpha branch, though. (Wow, that's confusing.)
  11. As far as I know, some optimizations were made to decrease the suddenly-bad FPS, which in-turn increased video memory, which then caused many Intel cards to throw up their hands in a rather frustrated manner and curse us profanely. But much has changed in the builds and this is a wild guess. Generally, updating graphics cards with the most recent generic driver does seem to correct this -- or it has up to this point.
  12. For the public anyway. *Wisks away the secrets to secretive forums*
  13. I will not have excitement in my thread, Mash. We're just too different for that!
  14. Please, Romain, use Thutzor's lovely sprites to make a compost bin. You're RedKrypton's only hope . . . It was more about the bag stuff... But I think this guy don't know what a bug is... Or he really think we implemented "magic bag" for fun Please, you just forgot to branch off the Magic version of the game again . . . That's for us alone! *Throws fireball at zombies*
  15. Please, Romain, use Thutzor's lovely sprites to make a compost bin. You're RedKrypton's only hope . . .
  16. Those are images of very few zombies, apparently. The game doesn't use the registery as far as I know. You can try deleting the %username%\zomboid\ folder to clear the game data, though. You might also try going into the Steam (x86) folder and purging the Project Zomboid contents.
  17. I suppose this is an answer. (Obligatory bump to inform you of the splitting of topics.)
  18. Can Nachtfischer successfully define challenge in the context of Grand Theft Auto 5? Tune in to http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/1801-but-what-is-challenge-a-gta-discussion-thread/ for another exciting adventure!
  19. Yes but i only have a lockpicking set at the moment, which i, wait a minute... Sure for mods that i see help the game, and the modder is ambitious, im in. This has reached a very good conclusion. Excellent.
  20. It does not alter anything. Why does it have to? Rathlord asked if there was a challenge to the game and I answered the question. Hell, no. I would never want GTA to be a game. Its strength is really the incredible potential it has as a pure sandbox experience. I would amplify that without any compromise and we'd likely have one of the greatest interactive systems ever made in the history of mankind. You might want to finish reading that second sentence, it states "Please, don't go into a philosophical discussion on games in general." What is more philosophical than an attempt to generally define challenge in a game? Here's we're we're going: "Is it challenging?" "But, what is challenge?" "Why, challenge is . . . " "But, challenge is defined as . . ." " . . . "
  21. Waypoints and quicksave have been a staple of this sandbox game since it's initial conception. If, by including these things, you feel that robs the game of any challenge -- fine. This, however, dates back to 1997. What relevance does it have today; how does it alter the challenge of a Grand Theft Auto game if that's one of the defining characteristics of a GTA game? Perhaps you should make your own thread to disucss what would make the game (and the entire series, if you must paint with a broad brush) more of a true game in another thread.
