    • Well yeah that's how it works.  If you don't land a solid damaging hit, it counts as a "chance-to-hit" and deals no dmg, but knocks the zombie back (and sometimes over). This happens less frequently as you level.   I'm legitimately not sure if it's a bug that it happens EVERY time you miss now though, one would assume that the character should have a solid chance to just not hit any part of the body at low skill.   Idk, aiming needs another pass, and I suspect it will eventually get one, but they're currently working on refining its basic functions for controller and getting more of the arsenal implemented, judging from the last few patches and dev logs.
    • A 10-22 seems like a no-brainer to me, or a single-shot, 20-gauge shotgun that they use to teach kids how to shoot clays and ducks. Those would fit within the lore quite nicely, while offering something a little different than what we have. Fits big into Kentucky's hunting culture etc.   For full autos and SMGs I'd lean more towards like a CZ scorpion or MP5, something that was very commonly used by police or even something more vintage like a Grease Gun. Imagine breaking into a museum to score the only working M3 Grease Gun on the map.    A thompson might be cool too, I'm mixed on it. The M3 is notably slow-firing and feels a touch more appropriate for the gameplay. Something ab including a bullet hose like an original or even A1 model thompson seems wrong but I have no substantial reason for why other than "vibes"   A glock 18 does seem a little farfetched relative to these other options though, maybe finding one in one of those mansions w/ the hidden armories in the basement would be cool.
    • I think the "no damage dealt" thing could have higher chances when low skill level, to maybe further show gun use inexperience for our characters as well as trying to simulate MOA for guns that already have a base chance of no dmg. Most guns to what I've noticed, 1 in 5 shots on average will be a "flier" (flyer? flier?) meaning it goes off course. Still in the direction but could be a few inches off, enough to miss at times depending on factors such as wind, distance, angle, point of aim etc. And MOA is usually dependent on gun quality like some Gucci AR-15 can have sub MOA nearly all the time while any regular AK could have 3 MOA or something. (quick explanation, MOA is in short a circle of hit radius. meaning from 100 yards a gun that has 3 MOA means its shooting within a 3 inch circle.)   And of course the higher level in aim/shooting the less chance of dealing no damage you have to gradually show off that experience in your character as a shooter. I think this system could really help making sure you don't slaughter half a town on day 1 if you so wanted to. (like i've done many times)   * As for the suppressors part. I agree there are advantages to not having an suppressor as well as there are to having one. Either way, they should be detachable as suppressors are IRL meaning whatever use case scenario you have or haven't for it, you can be flexible in whatever you're doing.

    • Maybe. Do you have any other idea's that'd be more fitting for those (not limited to) meme / hidden gem guns?
