    • Yes, these cases definitely seem to share the same underlying cause. However, I still don't understand why, when I try to heal Player 1, I simply can't do it, just as Player 1 cannot view my health status and heal me. The function itself is there, but when either of us clicks it, nothing happens.
    • Translated with A.I. in case there’s any inconsistency, this error has been present since very early versions of build 42, and over time it has gotten worse. It happens during the process of launching the application/game, while loading a world (online or offline), and in the main menu. Starting from a certain version (very likely 42.15), it also occurs during the first minutes of gameplay (mainly the first 10 minutes, I’d say). If you manage to get past that initial period, in theory it shouldn’t crash… A temporary workaround is to allocate more RAM — this reduces the chances of the crash happening, but it won’t eliminate it completely. Personally, I’d recommend at least 6 to 8 GB (more if you have it, but don’t go below 6). I noticed your GPU is also AMD, so maybe these issues happen on AMD GPUs with FSR2? (I’m not sure), but it does seem to affect AMD users more often. You’re basically showing the same symptoms being discussed in a Discord group. By the way, you could also attach the corresponding dump file from your Reliability Monitor. These dumps are located at: C:\Users\yournameuser\AppData\Local\CrashDumps They might be useful — I’ve already sent my own dumps, and Ash even has one of them along with a video where the crash happens inside the game (within the first minutes). I haven’t opened PZ for a while until I finish Horizon, but once I’m done I’ll continue sending reports with the dumps.
    • Yes, I mentioned some of the possible contradictory points:     However, in keeping with source material like Night of the Living Dead, the lore leaves it vague enough that almost all of the theories contradict one another, yet it remains mysterious enough that it could be combinations of different theories.  That was one of the reasons I deliberately included inconclusive elements in this report, such as lines like:   ..which is medical jargon for saying: "Based on everything we know, this shouldn't be possible.  It doesn't make any sense and we can't figure out how it's happening."   There are ways something like this could be written to give a familiar "plague-like" explanation for part of it but leave open the possibility that the source is extraterrestrial, supernatural, etc; in some ways identifiable using normal scientific means yet perplexingly unmanageable.   There are also lore hints that suggest but do not confirm that elements of the military were either aware of it beforehand or caused it, possibly accidentally.  A report such as this would not necessarily contradict that theory either because:     The reason this didn't mention immunity was because it would not necessarily be included in the same report.  The original idea was to have several examples of these kinds of correspondence scattered throughout the game that would leave the cause inconclusive, but take advantage of openings in the lore to tie up troublesome loose ends.. in this particular example, to stop people from making appeals for zombies to simply rot away over time.  (something I have seen people suggest multiple times)   Also, just as a side topic since immunity was mentioned, I will take the opportunity to shamelessly plug another suggestion:
    • Can you try the -cachedir parameter again but this time make it -cachedir=C:\Zomboid without the space after the =, I missed the fact there was a space there.
