    • I condemn any use of substances!!!!!!   Is it somewhat realistic? Yes. Drug addiction exists in real life. Does it fit with the spirit of PZ? I think so. Since PZ is a game that takes into account a large number of details, drug addiction fits in. Would it make the game too easy? By no means. Would it require rewriting the entire game (like changing the camera view, for instance)? No. It's just a perk that will make the game harder if you get it. Would it add enough to the gameplay that it would be worth taking the time to add? I think so.   Drug addiction is a serious illness. It can be acquired by using certain substances. Since cannabis was recently added, smoking pipes could be added as well. You could also use sheets of paper, notebooks torn into sheets, and smoke using paper. When you grow cannabis, use a Hand Scythe to harvest it. The plant needs to be laid out on dry ground, and under the sun, it will dry in 2-3 days. After that, it needs to be sorted and can be stored in: a bag (garbage bag, shopping bag, etc.), a jar, or an empty tin can. These are storage containers. Each container stores cannabis differently (in terms of shelf life).   What is cannabis for? With active smoking, the plant causes addiction and can cause withdrawal effects, but the positive effect is: when smoked, it reduces the level of anxiety (all anxiety effects), provides relaxation, and a high effect occurs (like with heavy alcohol use), the character becomes tipsy, he (might) start laughing relaxedly, talking to himself (telling some jokes), talking to toys or posters if they are in the room. Withdrawal effects include many consequences (a list of real consequences): Increased anxiety, restlessness, bad mood, depression, apathy. If I remember correctly, all these effects are in the game, so they can be made to progress. Bad mood -> restlessness -> increased anxiety -> apathy -> depression. Irritability, short temper, aggression. Since the game has voice lines, the character will, in progression (irritability -> short temper -> aggression), perform a series of animations. When irritable, he will sometimes grumble and mutter something with an angry tone. When short-tempered, he will also say something in response to minor irritants (any animal noise, rustling, gunshots, anything that can be a trigger).   When aggressive, he might kick the ground (leaves will fly if it's in the forest), asphalt (if in the city, dust will fly, maybe a can or bottle from the ground). If the player is in an aggressive state, he might hit a wall. If another player is nearby, he might hit the player (the other player might get a bruise or a broken nose, for example). Sleep disorders: insomnia, trouble falling asleep, nightmares. Insomnia is pretty clear, but trouble falling asleep? He goes to bed and gets up after a couple of minutes, and this repeats several times (2 to 5. For example, if the character falls asleep on the 5th attempt, about an hour (game time) passes from the moment he tries to sleep, the character doesn't get enough rest, and the night is skipped). Nightmares already have a mechanic (if I remember correctly). Decreased or lost appetite, sometimes weight loss. I think this is clear. The character eats less, and for example, due to insomnia, is more active (reading, running, etc.), so a calorie deficit occurs and he starts losing weight gradually. Motor restlessness (agitation). Agitation is motor restlessness, often accompanied by strong emotional excitement, anxiety, and fear. Basically, you can skip this, or implement it as convulsions. A convulsion is a sudden, involuntary, often painful contraction of a muscle or group of muscles, usually paroxysmal. In the "health" tab, it will say convulsion. For a few seconds, the character experiences pain. If the convulsion is in the leg, he might kneel for a while. If in the arm, he might drop or throw an item.   Headaches. The "headache" effect appears, he reads books more slowly, it's harder to focus on shooting (something like that). Digestive disorders: stomach pain, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, vomiting. Only nausea remains relevant here. Tremor of the limbs, chills, sweating, fever. Tremor of the limbs is rhythmic, involuntary shaking movements of a body part caused by alternating contraction and relaxation of muscles. The other effects are present in some form. Fatigue, decreased concentration, lethargy, sluggishness. Decreased concentration – reads books more slowly, harder to focus on shooting (something like that). Obsessive desire to use the drug again. An effect appears, you can call it "want more." If the drug is not used for a long time, the character (about the first week after quitting, the withdrawal time I'll describe below, at a random moment) will first whisper "I want a dose" (something like that), after the second week he'll say in a normal voice "character name, you want some way to mention craving".   About withdrawal time. After the last use, withdrawal symptoms (described above) appear on days 3-7. The addiction will last from 1 to 3 months (a high price of suffering). The symptoms gradually weaken, but the psychological craving can last longer (in our case, the obsessive thought will return (the phrase moment)). If lucky, the character will be able to break free from addiction after 1 to 3 months.   (You could also make an event at the peak of withdrawal: the character goes to sleep, and in the morning wakes up to find sheets of paper scattered around the bedroom, written in red "I want", "I want". Or it could say "I'll blow my brains out". There may be scratches on the arms and legs due to obsessive urges. Such an event is needed to scare the player, to test his resolve, or will he break and continue killing his character?) You can't die from prolonged or excessive use, since the game doesn't have vascular or similar diseases, except for colds.   That's how I see it. What do you think?
    • While I have reported that the bug still exists over several builds I have actually not reported it with every build. I agree that it is a minor issue and easy to fix, however (in my opinion) that is why it should not have existed this long, since it did I was left only to assume that it had could have gone overlooked. While you reasonably can not respond to every topic as there are many and even often duplicate topics the lack of a list of known & recorded bugs means we have no way of knowing that the bug has not been overlooked. (I do acknowledge that such a list would be more work for potentially little to no benefit as it would probably have little to no impact on the duplicate topics.) However without any way to know if it has been logged I can do is occasionally  go "Hey TIS senpai, this bug still exists." Also once upon a time there was a game with a closed beta that had some placeholders for some items and the testers reported them until the developers told them "We know, stop reporting this" so they did and guess what the developers forgot to fix when the game got its full release.
    • For some reason when I put tainted water inside an oven they dont get heated.
    • This exists as a mod, but would certainly be a welcome inclusion alongside jarring fruits (which is also a mod). https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=3406392630
    • The patch notes show exactly what is fixed. I'm sure you can tell there is a priority of a text string and there is a priority of game breaking crashes. without us needing to respond to every single one. We are far far outnumbered by players, and have enough on our plates on top of duplicate bug reports, false bug reports, modded bug reports. I am telling you there is no need for anyone to spam for such a small issue each time we make a new version, unless it's a seriously game breaking error we somehow missed.   I just tested that post you refer to and had no errors using fast move and spawning vehicles in vanilla. I'm unsure if you read the pinned post, but please do when making bug reports. The formatting and information there is more than helpful. You gave no reproduction steps, besides running around in fast move and spamming spawn, which I did to no avail.   You did not post a full console log which would show if it was fully vanilla so we cannot know for sure. Especially considering I just tested this, and no issue occurred for me.
