I am trying to create a mod or script that would give back the number of zombies still present on the map for a given playthrough. I guess the information is held in the zpop files, but I cannot find their layout and/or usage description anywhere. Could someone point me to this info, please? I've tried asking in the Mod section but nobody responded in 2 weeks, that's why I am looking for answers here.

I did change the aiming to <Right Shift> and the down attack to <Right CTRL> but that's all I remember

I am doing a vanila playthrough with all standard settings and respawn off. The goal is to kill all Zeds in the map. I've already killed 100,000 zeds and keep finding more in the woods. I would like a way to know how many there are still on the map. I can create a mod, just need the directions on where to find the info for that.

Just to add some more info. I discovered that this situation happens after I do some running. Usually when running in a direction that needs me to press 2 keys plus the running key. I changed the key bindings to use the keyboard arrow keys to move, and the right <Alt> as the running key. Some combination of those keys makes the aiming not function. If I press <Esc> and then <Alt><Tab> out of the game give a few seconds and go back, the aiming usually resumes functionality. Hope this helps finding the bug.

Ok, that makes sense, wrecked car glove boxes I cannot look into, and I certainly didn't break into all cars to look, but in all cars I've accessed I looked into the glove boxes. Anyway, the question stands. I would love to know how many annotated maps exist in the game, so I would know how many I may have missed.

So, how many annotated maps should exist? I understand it is a finite list, and I would like to know how many may I have lost. I collected 41 anno maps. I usually looted every single zombie I've killed, so I should not have lost any (or at least, not many). Thanks in advance for responding.

I've posted this bug/question 2 weeks ago and no answer until now. Is there a cap on the number of annotated maps one can find? I have killed 16,000 zombies now and only found 41 annotated maps. Is this the limit? Or is this the totality of annotated maps created by the devs?

There are no other applications running, and I did not change any windows settings. I also do not have any explanation, I can only point to what I see happening. Fortunately it didn't happen again in the last few days, if it do, I'll try and make a video of it.

No, my mouse is configured exactly as in your picture. I am using windows 10 and never changed any mouse configuration.

Yes, I've tried to just quit to desktop and get back to the game using the "Continue" option and the issue persisted. The only way to get rid of it (as far as I was able to test), was by restarting the computer.

Hey guys, good morning. Any clues of what may be happening here?

Reloading the save will not help for me without restarting the computer. I imagine that if I send you the file, you will not be able to reproduce it directly since you will be in a "restarted" computer anyway. But maybe you could spot some inconsistency in the save. I know Zomboid also has some log files, not sure if this would help either. If does, please let me know what/where the files are located so I can also send them. Another thing that I can try and do is to pause the game, prepare it to stream, and capture some actions when this happens again so you guys would be able to see what happens. Please let me know what other options/tasks I should do to give you enough information to work with. For now, it has not happened in a few days even though I have been playing hard this weekend/week.

I have been thinking, maybe it helps if I pause the game, copy the save file and upload it here or in another place that can get large files next time it happens. Let me know if this would help. I do not run any other application while playing and am using Windows 10, if this information is somewhat useful. Thanks for the quick reply and support.

The issue is completely random. I only play fullscreen, and it only happened in a solo play (until now).
