Another no start on steam

I have gone threw the options of trying to trouble shoot this 

-trying the different starting modes 

-looking at task manager 

-running both 32 and 64 bit files as admin 

I love this game I was so excited to play it again when my buddy said this is what we were playing now but this has me so bummed and so stumped

Can you try using the "Alternate launch" option when launching the game through Steam? If the game fails to start again, can you share your console.txt file, found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?

It seems to stop loading when the sound gets loaded.
 

Try going to your Steam Library > Right click Project Zomboid > Properties > Set Launch Options > Type -novoip > Start the game

If that does not help, can you try typing -nosound instead? This is to check if it is a sound related issue.

In that case, can you share the latest “hs_err_pid” file found in your main game folder “Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid”?

The error seems to be specifically having issues with the display.
Do you perhaps have multiple monitors connected? Can you disconnect the extra ones and then test if that is the case?

If not, try going to the C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid folder and edit the options.ini file.

In that file, edit the fullscreen=true line to fullscreen=false

Then try launching the game again.

thanks so much man your a life saver one last question i have a wide screen minitor do you know how i can get a native 2560 x1440 loaded insted of a 1920 x 1080 i dont see the option for it

Edit the options.ini file again and change the first two lines to the desired resolution.
Alternatively, delete the "resolutions" file in your Zomboid/Lua folder.
