Dedicated Server Port Forwarding Options

I spent over 2 hours on the phone bouncing between my ISP and router company, and they can't seem to figure out why I cant get my ports open for port forwarding. Is there any other options to get a dedicated server up that do not require players to install extra applications to join?

I am not personally familiar with it, but based on the information I found about it, it should work. Since it just uses a tunnel to your PC. The server itself just listens to any connections, meaning if you go through ngrok, it should still work as long as you use the assigned IP for it.

Ngrok seems to only work with the protocols tcp and https. Which ports would I need opened for tcp? My understand is something like 16261 and 16262/+1 for every player I wish to have a spot for. Do I need 8766 udp or would just giving players my ip work fine without using 8766?

16261 and 16262 are the ports used by the game, they are both UDP though.

Alright I'll be working on finding an alternative for ngrok so I can tunnel udp but thank you for your assistance with this

Having a dedicated server means that you need to allow players to connect to your PC. Which is why having opened ports is a necessity, otherwise the connections will never be able to reach the server.

Im not too familiar with networking but I guess a better question to ask would be: Is it possible to get ngrok to work for setting up a dedicated server?
