[41.70] [Single player] Missing siren menu in Police Dash Bulldriver after engaging said siren. Huge problem.

41.70 (steam), single player sandbox. I don't use any mods.

Save originated from 40.69 unstable and then was updated to 40.70 unstable.

 

Hi,

 

I engaged the siren in a Dash Bulldriver cop car, then exited the vehicle, cleaned zombies that were attracted by said siren (went far enough to not being able to hear the siren, but the zeds were still hearing it from there), and when I sitted into the vehicle again: the siren was no longer accessible in the car's menu.

 

Reloading the save didn't fix the problem.

Reloading Project Zomboid didn't fix the problem.

Removing the car's battery stopped the siren but puting it back made the car rengage the siren.

In other words, this car is as good as dead.

 

Please halp.

How old is the save? I have just tried replicating the issue in a new save, negative

Oh, sorry, I should have added that.

 

The save is originaly from 41.69 unstable, and then was converted to 41.70 unstable.

 

I should be more rigorous with those bug report and follow closely the recommanded format. I'll do better from now on.

Might be the reason, the siren bug has been fixed. Try creating a brand new game to see if the issue persists as it doesn't on my end

I'll keep that save just in case I want to come back to it, it was a good game and all. And I'll try a new one.

On 68, the siren sometimes drops to 0% after some time in the active mode, hence becomes absent from the vehicle's menu. Though it was back after a relogin.
