Unstable 41.70 Welding Mask issue

I had a welding mask that was equipped, somehow ended up on the ground, still equipped after dismantling a handful of wrecks out of Muld. It'd be great if someone else could confirm and/or find conditions. Rebooting seemed to fix the issue, but I couldn't figure out how it happened, other than the fix was to unequip and drop the mask and restart.

No, no mods installed. Should have mentioned that in my op. Took for granted the fact that I already posted on a separate issue.

I made a video of this but the size is 55mb and can't upload it here.

 

Try the following steps:

 

Carry enough weight in your inventory to reach near 50 kg (max carry capacity)

Put the welding mask on your face.

Leave the propane torch in your inventory (not backpack)

Then dismantle a car wreck.

 

While my character equipped the propane torch, my welding mask made a copy that drops on the floor, while the image of a welding mask stays on my face.

On the floor container, the mask has a red dot as if it were equipped.

 

I will keep the video in case i can share it some other way.
