Whittos Posted December 9, 2013 Share Posted December 9, 2013 I am having the same problem! I am trying to play Build 19 on my MacBook Pro and I have tried both regular mode AND compatibility mode! After about 10 seconds after I have launched the game I start to hear the music which tells me I am on the main menu, but I cannot see it! Whittos Posted December 10, 2013 Share Posted December 10, 2013 I think I may have found a solution to the problem! By disabling the in-game Steam Community there is no longer a black screen for me! I am not sure if this will work with your computer but give it a go any way to see if it works. When you launch the game and begin to hear the music, press SHIFT+TAB to open up the in-game Steam Community. After this go into the settings tab and make sure the in-game steam community is not enabled (not ticked). After this is done re-launch the game in compatibility mode and you should be good to go! I am not 100% sure this works with all computers but if it does work please spread this to help all who are suffering from the black screen of death!
