Multiplayer Server didn't save progress last night.

Question

I started up my server this morning and found all that my friends and I had done, was lost. As if we did not play that night, but everything before last night was there.

Why has this happened?

Is there a way to ensure  that the game is saving progress before I bother with playing it ?

Also, is there a way to backup a server to a flash drive or something in case of files lost or reformatting pc ect...? :(

Use the /quit command (in chat as administrator or in the server console) to ensure the world gets saved.

You can also type /save whenever you want to save the world.

Or change the SaveWorldEveryMinutes= option in the server's INI file to the number of minutes you would like the world to be saved.

The server loads and unloads parts of the world as people move around.  Any parts of the world that get unloaded are saved automatically.

The server saves the world in the Zomboid\Saves\Multiplayer\servertest\  folder by default.  You can copy that folder somewhere to create a backup of the world.
