I'm getting certain sounds coming only from one side

The moving items sound only comes from the right side of my headset. I'm running windows 7 and have a logitech g930 headset. I've had this issue in a few other games as well, namely Arma first person where I only hear my footsteps from the right, but I have no idea why it only happens with certain sounds. Any ideas?

Turn off surround, it's not properly supported in certain games. That or your headset is defective.  

 

I own a G930. Stereo just works better in most situations. The surround is really only a "Virtual trick" and not a physical set of drivers.

Alternatively, your audio drivers could be corrupt or out of date. It's worth checking. PZ should support directional sound with the newer audio engine, and there's no reason a headset with the "fake" surround shouldn't work (in theory). But yah, might just be worth swapping to stereo.
