  1. I'm trying to just be more resistant. The last couple of games I played I took the thick-skinned trait, and the first time I got scratched, and then it became infection. It was so discouraging.
  2. Another approach: what about this thick-skinned trait? Is there a way to read and possibly edit the numbers associated with it?
  3. So here is my progress report. I have found something that looks promising in the following file: ... \Project Zomboid\zombie\characters\BodyDamage\BodyDamage.class There is a string called "setInf" that I believe sets the infection boolean to "true" (or not). But I am having trouble figuring out how to modify that or how it works within other parts of the file / program. Can anyone assist further?
  4. Thank you, friends. I will explore in that direction.
  5. Right... so how would I go about doing that? =P
  6. How would I go about modifying my game to make the character more resistant to zombie infection?
  7. I'm terrible at this game, so take it for what it's worth... I like to keep killing them when I can, because I figure they're going to pile up if I don't. So I would favor some kind of attack instead of a distraction. If you run around on the perimeter, some (but not all) of them will notice you and chase. Lead them away, kill them, and come back for a few more. Yes, it will take all day. I'd be curious to see what the experts recommend.
  8. I do appreciate that this is an alpha game and will be developed further inthe future. Thank you for the response! That was going to be my next question. How would someone go about updating the script file to add something (say 1 full rank + skill point) in carpentry?
  9. New characters should start with skill points greater than zero. (Maybe to some degree these should be allocated by the user's choice of profession.) It's silly and unrealistic that someone with life experience as a "construction worker" would have below average skill in carpentry. Likewise it doesn't make sense that someone who worked as a cop would have below average skill in aiming a firearm.
  10. Would it be possible for someone to make a mod so that I can have more points to work with when customizing my character? To hold up my end of the deal, I promise that I will still die.
