  1. Me personally, I HATE zombie respawns because of how the respawn system works. My thought would be is set a population amount and no respawns. Then have the "admin" go in and set X # of zombies to respawn in a 1000 tile radius, that way, the respawns are person controlled and not by the game.
  2. Isai1a, Is this server actually physically touchable by you or is this some cloud machine somewhere? If true, then set it up how you see fit. Getting a dedicated server running isn't hard, you just need to forward 2 ports and "blam!!" you are good to go. There is 2 mods I'd suggest using being 1) mod manager 2) mod manager: server. With these, you can configure the DS from a "host game" like adding what maps you want and other things. If you go the route of a DS, then look up steamcmd. The steam based PZ DS didn't work for me. I would be willing to assist you in getting it going should you decide. Only downside is if\when the game gets updated, the client (player) will update while the DS will not which has to be manually updated. Upside to a DS is you dictate what mods are used whereas a hosted game (I could be wrong) anyone can run whatever mods they choose.
  3. I've started to have instances where I'll encounter a black item where is appears as if the texture is missing. I reload the game or use a vehicle that has an "RV interior" then exit out and everything is fine. Any thoughts on what is going on?
  4. If one was to look at a map mod, how would you go about finding what the bin files, for the related mod, would be without loading the actual map? So using this mod as an example: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2909294200 There are 3 files here of 6 total: 37_37.lotheader, chunkdata_37_37.bin and lastly world_37_37.lotpack. That way if I want to add a map to my existing game then I know what files to look for.
  5. How would a bandana work against corpse sickness? I mean, in all honesty, it won't cover and seal like a gasmask will and also too the gasmask would be 100% in vanilla terms.
  6. As some may know that if you roll your windows down in the car, in game, that the temperature will reflect to the ambient air. When you have power, the temperature in the house stays @ 71.6 degrees. When power fails, it will vary by +/- 7F (sometimes more) and this mainly applies to summer, so why not be more realistic and have the temp be warmer? So if your outside temp is 91.4 then the house temp should be like, with windows closed, like 110 or even higher? If it is windy out then the temp might be lower? Maybe have a way to create fans to make the temp manageable.
  7. As WAX posted from the original reddit article, the only thing that would make the more "logical" sense would be the house alarms. Yes, after the power fails all alarms should fail (meaning non-existent) as what alarm will have any sort of backup source?
  8. I use a mod "base in the forest" which has a greenhouse. That is nice and all but with the way the author made it, you can only use the northern half of it (it has a sidewalk dividing it) and the southern side is useless because you always want to "smash the glass". Maybe as a thought, be able to pick-up broken glass shards and with a proper carpentry level, be able to make a glass ceiling.
  9. That does seem like a good idea however the one problem with that though is having a zombie spawn inside of your base. I really didn't know how the respawn system worked and I'd go to sleep and wake up the next day, open the bedroom door and "PANIC" a zombie is in the room next to me.
