  1. Are you able to join any other random public servers? And can you list your specifications so we can confirm that they are above the minimum?
  2. Do you have any corpses in the area? Or do you have a generator inside the house?
  3. Are you able to restart the game or join a different server?

    strange errors

I would recommend a full game reinstall if you get such errors. First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there. After that, go to “C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder. Then just install the game again and see if that helps.
  5. You can open it using any text editor, as it is just a text file. You can either change the resolution values in the first two lines of the file. Or you can switch the game to windowed mode by changing the fullscreen=true line to fullscreen=false
  6. Try going to your Steam Library > Right click Project Zomboid > Properties > Set Launch Options > Type -cachedir=C:\Zomboid > Start the game
  7. It is caused by atio6axx.dll as shown in the error. Which is an AMD driver file. I recommend following the driver update tips as mentioned in these other posts about the error. https://community.amd.com/t5/drivers-software/amd-driver-problem/td-p/474097 https://support.transmagic.com/hc/en-us/articles/206986713-Application-Crash-atio6axx-dll
  8. Can you try using the "Alternate launch" option when launching the game through Steam? If the game fails to start again, can you share your console.txt file, found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
  9. Try going to your Steam Library > Right click Project Zomboid > Properties > Set Launch Options > Type -novoip > Start the game If that does not help, can you try typing -nosound instead? This is to check if it is a sound related issue.
  10. The options.ini file is located in the Home/Zomboid folder by default. Your home folder is here: https://www.cnet.com/tech/computing/how-to-find-your-macs-home-folder-and-add-it-to-finder/
  11. Soft reset does not work at the moment. And there are no options that would do what you want it to do exactly. A soft reset just clears all the items and blood from the floor. What you can try is going to the server save folder, back it up first, and then delete every map.bin file there except the map areas that you want to leave untouched. This guide explains how to delete the map files, you will basically delete everything but the area you want to keep: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2547762158
  12. It is possible that if you had a different monitor connected in the past, the old resolution could have caused issues, since it would still try to load the resolution from the old monitor. Though this exact error might have many different causes, it would just be related to the display of the game failing to be created.
  13. All those errors look like display issues. Try going to the C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid folder and edit the options.ini file. In that file, edit the fullscreen=true line to fullscreen=false Then try launching the game again.
  14. Can you share the latest “hs_err_pid” file found in your main game folder “Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid”?
  15. Can you provide the same info as posted above? So I can check if you have the same issue.
  16. It might be in the future, though there are not plans for it in the near future.
  17. Can you elaborate on what you mean by "I don't have any preset" and "I launch the game fresh"? Are you reinstalling the game each time you launch it?
  18. When loot respawns, it never replaces the already existing items placed in the container that is respawning. Meaning that if they have any stored items, they will not be removed. If they placed less items than necessary for the loot to be respawned, then new loot will spawn next to the items they placed.
  19. It does not, you are honestly the only person I have seen with this specific combination of errors. Though the fact that the pirated version works gives us a clue, since it means there is some sort of problem with your Steam installation most likely. Could you try simply reinstalling your Steam? Or you can first make sure to check if it has all of its updates installed. Alternatively, try using the "Alternate Launch" option when starting the game through Steam and see if that works better.
  20. I am a bit confused now, did you not say in your previous message that "my friend tried to join using the public and same issue appears" Which means that your friend gets the same errors on other servers, right?
  21. So the issue is specifically on your friends side, since you say that they are unable to join any servers? Can you share your friends logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
  22. Your friend would need to use your Public IP instead of your 192.168 local IP to join. This woulod be your public IP: https://whatismyipaddress.com/ If that does not work, are you able to join the server yourself?
  23. In that case, can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
  24. Does the issue happen without any mods enabled?
