  1. I took a little break but since it's Halloween, I figure I would play this again, at least for a short while before taking another break. I like the additions to the game, but I would like to make a small suggestion to add soy beans to the game so I could make milk and cheese without having to rely on finding a cow or a goat. Not because I want to promote veganism but because I tend to do a lot of scavenging and with the way you have animals set up now, it would suck if I came back to base to find they starved to death because I was too busy outrunning a horde to come back and feed them. Plus, I seem to have crap luck when it comes to finding cow and goat poop let alone using it and coming up empty handed.
  2. How about Bedford Falls (if you played on the map)? I've mostly stuck to the area with the large hotel with the two swimming pools acting as my main base and I've refrained from going past the strip mall area down the block from it.
  3. Tell me about it...ah well, I guess I'll just have to dedicate a large area to all the giant furniture then since I don't want people's games to be messed up. It would be cool if there was a way to have both 1x and 2x sprite models for the furniture so that both can have normal furniture sizes in the game without the other one loosing out but that would probably taking some coding wizardry to pull it off without glitches. Thanks for the reply and I'll just have to make do for now.
  4. Nah, the dog thing is random so You have to raid a lot of warehouse/storage areas to get dog whistles. Just check crates and pray to the RNG god to get the dog you want and hopefully you'll get it.
  5. Neat update, but having giant furniture is still a problem here (unless you are working on it, in which case sorry for sounding like a nag.) I started a new game with tiles 1x graphics to see if my old file was corrupted somehow and sure enough, the bench I created is still large. Here's photo proof since I didn't provide it last time.
  6. Yeah, me either...imagine my surprise when I tried to make a kiln and it came out to the size of a small house. Sorry if it seems like extra work for you, but I thought I should let you know since not everyone (or the least the ones I know) will be playing the game with double sized graphics and whatnot, especially if they run into problems trying to play it like I did.
  7. Nice update, though Since I just finished struggling a bit to get my game to play properly (what with the new Graphics Update not seeing eye to eye with my craptop, causing me to run the game with 1x graphics), it looks like all the furniture I build from the mod is now giant to my character...heh heh... Is there a way to get the items scaled back to size based on if you're running 2x graphics or not? I can deal with giant items, but it would be nice if they were smaller sized since I don't have 2x graphics running on my game.
  8. I think I was able to solve my problem...I went over the posts describing the option choices I had to fiddle with and I decided to turn off both zoom and the 2x graphics. Lo and behold, my old save went back to normal, with the graphics slightly upgrades. I'm going to keep an eye on it, but I would still like to give thanks for the help given to me. Really appreciate it On another note, is it normal to find food in a stove that is freshly cooked...in a house that you looted and left two or three weeks ago? Should I just play it off like normal or should I burn the house down and kill myself since I ate said cooked food (salmon) and now I might be cursed (my character, I mean)?
  9. If I turn off the 2x textures, the game won't even load for me, so I have to stick with it. I believe I was never able to use the zoom features before this particular update, but it didn't matter since the view was acceptable and I could see far enough away to casually move around. If I have to adapt playing this game zoomed up, then I'll do so, but I truly believe this is a graphical glitch. I remember putting my console txt as a download in my last message, but do I need to paste it in a easier to read format or something?
  10. I think it was because I opened the game in compatibility mode in order to even get into the game and it stuck after I made the changes you suggested and reopened it from my desktop icon. How would I go about finding that file you need? Edit: Ok, I went into my new game and guess what, it was zoomed in as if I was in compatibility mode instead of me opening the desktop icon like I normally do. I'll track down this file, but I have to say I'm not happy one bit with these turns in events. It would have been better to make the graphical changes optional and having to be selected rather than making it default like the Nutrition idea (something else I had no interest in) where you have to select it in sandbox mode. Is there a way for me to go back to build 32.20/33.20 (whichever came before this one) since obviously my POS laptop cannot handle this update since I can't seem to get the zoom function to work despite messing with the options for it? console.txt
  11. Unfortunately, your suggestions didn't work and the only thing I could do was say farewell to my saves and start a brand new game. Ah well, at least now I can enjoy the updated graphics at at proper distance view like before, though it's going to be hell retaking the hotel again in Bedford Falls (at least 150 zombies crammed in there even with low population settings...*sigh*)
  12. Ok, it seems I have another problem then. I was able to get the game running in Compatibility Mode even with it being all zoomed in like crazy. I make the adjustments needed and closed the game. I opened it again and when I try to either load or continue my game, I just have a black screen when you normally see the usual words scroll by before the game starts. I could still hear music playing but nothing else. It looks like the only way I can play is in compatibility mode and I can't adjust the zoom. I guess I'll have to take a break from this game until the issue is somehow fixed and I'm not really happy with it since I was making good progress on my character before the update kicked in and I now have these problems.
  13. Yeah, I kinda figured it out just a few minutes of making the post, but thanks for the help all the same. I was able to check it out and while the graphics does look nice, everything was too zoomed in and I was trying to find a way to zoom it back out with no avail. Even messing with options didn't seem to do it, so hopefully me turning off the updates graphics will make it go back to normal.
  14. It's nice to see that the stable build has an update, but now I can't even open the game thanks to this new tiles 2x textures and the fact that my laptop is crappy (still waiting for an upgrade model, but I was able to play this game before the new update). Is there any way for me to go back to the old textures and experience the rest of the new update since I didn't really care for any visual changes to the game but just wanted to see more content added?
  15. Nah, it's all cool. I'm just sad that I have to wait until the next update to safely use the kiln/furnace/smelter since I have yet to find medicine that will treat burns and it is not worth hurting myself to get the metal I need to craft the steam machine/charging unit to restore my batteries. Ah well, I suppose I can just wing it if I must, but I'm still wary about fires suddenly popping up. Did anyone using those items have stuff around the character catch in flames or is everybody just suffering horrific burns?
