  1. At the moment, the only way to create a multi-storey building is to first build stairs. Once you have stairs and can start a 2nd floor, all you need is a sheet rope and you've got your own z-proof access, so you can block off or destroy the stairs. Floating floors seem to be the unfortunate immersion-breaking result, but I digress. I suggest instead you can build scaffolding, which is integrated into the structure of the building when walls are built but can be climbed up slowly (maybe not even z-proof, but with a slowing effect like barbed wire), unless a fence (with optional sheet rope) is then added. Once a 2nd floor is established, the scaffolding could then be easily destroyed, or even recycled using a hammer. To avoid it being exploited as an easy zombie barrier, make it easily destroyable by zees as well as players. I guess the main barrier to this in terms of immersion is what to do if a 2nd floor has its supporting scaffold destroyed, would it then be held up by sheet ropes as in current builds? Maybe make it so the scaffolding doesn't get destroyed as such but remains in a broken state, allowing zees to climb onto your 2nd floor with ease? Sturdy Sticks and Nails would be the ideal components, possibly Wire or Rope as well. PS making trees a kind of indestructible scaffold would be a bonus oh and taller... trees? Climbing trees with rope ladders to start building a platform? I can but dream.
