I'm assuming it's a multiplayer server? If so, that's usually the case. Often times when a server's running off a mid-range PC or shared machine from a server rental company this can be quite a common issue as the machine is being strained in order to upkeep its processing for every other server on that shared machine or personal computer.

This series is quite captivating so far, well done my fellow survivors of the zombie apocalypse.
