  1. Seems to be an issue with the latest update. Same with me. I cannot right click in the players inventory / looting menue when activated RKF mod Hopefully this will be fixed soon!
  2. I do not mean to defame anybody but I guess this topic should be closed (or moved to offtopic). As the game already spread all over the world, religious anyhow inflicted depression should not be considered here. For my example I would get depressed without musical instruments, but I would not suggest to implement this to pz
  3. ...uhm wait - I never noticed, but: Why do they actually have barbed wire attached to their roofs? 'No don't worry! Zombies won't climb on top of the trucks as long as we have attached things that hurt!'
  4. I like the Idea of amouring vehicles a lot! This immediately remembered me of this beautiful scene It could be like this: The more armour/equipment is added to a vehicle, the heavier and slower it gets and therefore the less additional load it might bear.
  5. This brings me to the question how secure a campfire inside my base is? I never dared to build up one, because I fear that it might get out of control, burning down everything I created so far. Does a campfire also spread randomly? Is there anything I should consider before lighting it up?
  6. Depending on how deep the realism should go with pz, there is a few things more to consider to build a windmill indeed. This also applies to the solar panels. The basics of crafting a windmill are as described above, but adding buffer batteries and a frequency converter (either for solar panels or windmills) shouldn't be too difficult. I like the idea with the electrician class - this could correspond to a new technical skill 'electrician' (which could be also skilled with books - making the character able to understand how power generation works ). But I don't know if we drift off too much from the basic suggestion here.
  7. Good point! I never thought about that. But as far as I know have solar panels become popular since the oil crisis in the 1970's and therefore hypothetically could be found in pz. How about adding solar panels on a few buildings and giving the player the opportunity to detach/attach them with specific tools (maybe adding the theat of a electric shock hazard if the required skill is too low). This is also a very good idea, but requires the implementation of wind to the game (what could also bring a couple of nice advantages and disadvantages like fire spread, hearing and smelling distance of zombies). A windmill definetly could be crafted though. For example by combining planks, sheets, wire, nails and an electric motor (which could be found or dismounted anywhere).
  8. Actually this was my first thought when I was exposed to heavy rain (far away from any shelter) and really was afraid of getting sick. I had a garbage bag in my inventory and just wanted to pull it over my soaking body - at least this is what I would have done, if I was in this situation
  9. Hello again J Actually I should work whilst being at work (retroactively the last days as well) but my thoughts somehow drift off to pz ideas I brood over. I am sorry to pick up the clo-thing again, but I did not find these specific suggestions. Please excuse if I skipped something here. As always I began to put myself in such an end-time scenario and how I would try to face possible threads - especially being bitten, scratched or eaten (which might be the worst thing that could happen to any survivor). Besides my active protection with decent weaponry, I would definitely keen on passive protection. Looking for boots, protective wear for extremities (e.g. any kind of sports gear, gloves), motorcycle helmets / jackets / trousers, masks, riot gear and so on. The different gear might protect and reduce the thread being injured (or getting wet as well), but also limit load capacity, heat transfer, motility, movement speed, field of vision or perception on the other hand. I would also try to improvise crafted protective gear, combining duct tape, kitchen utensils, lids, sheets, twine and so on to somehow reduce the thread ending up as funeral feast. Another thing I missed quite a lot is the frequently addressed wearable rain protection. Additionally to this request, I would suggest the following upgrade: If I haven't got a proper rain coat at hand, I would try to craft one by (for example) combining garbage bags, scissors/knives and any kind of tape. The difference between looted and crafted clothing could be determined in the time it protects you from soaking, durability and movement noise.
  10. Thank you for the hint. I checked the post you mentioned thorougly, before I posted my suggestion. From my point of view it was not clear, if the movable items had any purpose. So I hope I might point this in the right direction
  11. Dear all, After a few setbacks, I guess I slowly get into the pulse of proper survival One thing I am desperately missing is the possibility of enhanced item transportation: I chose a save spot far away from any looting possibility, what makes it quite arduous to gather a certain amount of items for which reason I have to take long walks (really long walks) just to be able to come back with relatively few items. If I found myself in this situation I would try to get some wheeled transportation device such a shopping cart, baby stroller, wheelchair, hay (or toy) wagon, shopping stroller, wheelie bin and so on to enhance my collecting spree For example the advantages and disadvantages of a shopping cart as transportation vehicle might be: + max. Capacity 95 - maximum speed is walking speed - noisy while in movement (as attractive to zed’s as a running player) - depending on its load longer acceleration and deceleration time - needs two hand slots (making it even more dangerous walking around with a fully loaded cart because it needs a certain time to stop and forces the player to reequip his weapon) - does only work on pavement The pros and cons could also be balanced between the different types of transportation vehicles such as capacity, loudness, maximum speed, number of hand slots and so on. As these vehicles would not depend on gas, they might be an interesting alternative to cars.
