    • Hi everyone,   I'd like to suggest adding more light source options, especially primitive and hands-free alternatives, now that the lighting system has been reworked.   The new lighting system is a great addition to the game. Darkness feels much more oppressive and realistic, which improves the survival atmosphere significantly. However, the variety of available light sources currently feels somewhat limited considering how important light has become.   The most important addition, in my opinion, would be a craftable primitive torch. In a survival game, a torch should be one of the most basic and essential tools available to a player. Long before electricity, portable fire was one of humanity's primary ways of extending activity beyond daylight hours. It doesn't need to provide excellent illumination, nor should it be superior to electric lighting. Its purpose would be to give primitive survivors a simple, accessible way to navigate and perform basic tasks in darkness. This is especially important for players who prefer low-loot, wilderness, or primitive playstyles. In these scenarios, access to batteries, flashlights, generators, and modern equipment can be extremely limited. A torch made from simple materials would provide a realistic fallback option.   I would also suggest that torches use a straightforward ignition system. Since they are intended as an emergency primitive light source, requiring modern items such as lighters would partially defeat their purpose. The crafting and ignition process should remain accessible to players who are surviving with minimal resources.   Another addition that would fit naturally into the game is a headlamp. Headlamps are extremely common in real life and are widely used for camping, maintenance work, construction, and outdoor activities. Their biggest advantage is allowing players to work in darkness while keeping both hands free. This would create interesting gameplay opportunities for anyone performing tasks at night or in dark interiors.   Some potential benefits of these additions: More options for primitive and low-tech survival. Better adaptation to the darker lighting system. Greater variety in progression from primitive to advanced equipment. More meaningful choices between convenience, brightness, durability, and resource consumption. Improved immersion and realism.   Importantly, these additions would not reduce the challenge of survival. Torches could have limited burn time, produce weaker light, be affected by weather, and require periodic replacement. Headlamps would still depend on batteries. The goal is not to make darkness less dangerous, but to provide players with more tools to deal with it. I believe these additions would complement the new lighting system very well while expanding survival gameplay for both primitive and advanced playstyles.
    • I think you might be suffering from a crash we have been tracking with AMD hardware. Generally the fixes we recommend don't stop the crashes but do slow them down. First can you try disabling any overlays you might have active such as Discord, Steam or Rivatuner Second we usually say to increase RAM allocation but given you only have 8gb of RAM and integrated graphics this probably isn't an option for you. The crash isn't happening on the Stable versions so in your case, and I know it isn't ideal, you might be better off playing the Stable version until a proper fix is found for the issue.
    • Do you know roughly what time of day it was when you recorded that video? Just so I can correlate it to the logs.
