We will look into this in the next update as a bug, it seems to be an issue specific to the GoG installer as I cannot find any similar mentions of this in Steam.
It's not a problem of money.
They choose to keep theirs teams small and they need to deal with technical debt, while upgrading their game engine. But they keep multiple astronomical goals almost impossible to deliver. It's a formula for disaster and TheIndiesStone is not the first studio to have choose it.
Yes,making and using various drugs is nice idea,For Rp purposes it could be very funny.Short strong buffs like bigger melee dmg,no pain,faster running,less exahustion etc.And long anoying debuffs like bad moods,headache,muscle strains ,maybe some addictions/overdosing.Even maybe few more traits.But is it really needed for survival? Do you really want to be junkie in zombie apocalypse? What for? Lets be real,every skill in PZ is for survival,whether is it for combat or crafting or obtain food.And in v.42 they nerfed melee combat and boosted zeds and even with all that you can be killing machine later,you dont need some short burst of power from drugs.
However lets hope Devs have somethink like Chemistry skill in mind,for making medical drugs,gas,glues etc.,maybe even hardcore drugs and if so,i think they would add it in very,very,very late state of game,in my opinion.
