Client and own server version mismatch (IWBUMS)

Hi there, I've searched elsewhere for a solution with no luck so apologies if this has been covered somewhere obvious that I missed.

I get the following error when attempting to join my own server (hosted locally):

"Your version (Early Access v.31.8) does not match the server version (Early Access v. 31.7)"

So clearly my client has been successfully updated to the IWBUMS branch but the server still seems to be trying to run on the old version. How do I get my server to run on 31.8 too?

Is it possibly because of residual server files from before the update leftover somewhere which need deleting? If so, which of these can I safely delete?

I'm playing through Steam, on Windows 7 if either of those facts matter.

Thanks.

Fixed now, but for the sake of helping anyone googling this in future:

Fresh total reinstall obviously fixes the issue, but I suspect that just deleting the C:\Users\Name\Zomboid folder entirely will equally do the trick. No idea which particular files within were causing the problem.

I hadn't previously realised that running the server batch file will just recreate the \Zomboid folder entirely afresh, but it does.
