Save stuck on the 'loading' screen

So recently I have been using build 27 and using a variety of mods such as the TommyGuns mod however a short time ago I updated to build 28 and tried to load my only game save file however it was just stuck on the loading screen for ages so I closed out of project zomboid and switched back to build 27. I then tried to launch the game again but I think it just wasn't working with build 27 either after that (Sorry can't really remember exactly what happened here). All I know is that now when I use my backup save that I made just before updating to build 28 and try to use the TommyGuns mod as well it stays on the loading screen forever and these pop-ups come up saying 'Cannot load "apocalypse plus.mp5" item. Make sure all mods used in save are installed. About 7 of these pop-ups appear each saying cannot load that particular item. Does anyone have any suggestions as I spent ages on this save. Thanks

Swapping to new builds with potentially outdated mods can unfortunately cause problems. If you have a back-up, try using it on build 27 (and maybe try reinstalling the whole game before playing).
